Just picked up an 18B - pretty quick in its stock form but I will be dropping a brushless in soon. The only upgrades I have so far are a Full Force RC Carbon battery strap and some Factory Team turnbuckles (I still have to put them on)
Here is my 2nd 18B. It's almost ready for this summers micro races. Few more things to install. Hop ups so far are factory team gold springs, shimmed diffs, o-ringed servo saver, Trinity 1/10 adapters, GRP foam tires, RPM bumper, JConcepts Illuzion lid, 3Racing wing, Mamba 5400kv, and Hyperion Litestorm 1800mah 2s lipos.
It's this wing. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-3Racing-1-18...QQcmdZViewItem It is a little heavier than the stock wing, because it is nylon like a 1/8 wing. The best thing about it is it can take a serious beating, and in high speed rollovers or cartwheels, it takes the brunt of the impacts.
Hey guys, I searched through a few pages but could not find any answers...I just converted a t into an r and have a brand new airplane servo...hs56-hb..and the thing wanders either way and i am constantly fighting the steering...what is the problem???is it the cheap ass servo saver or the servo? Could it be because the R's wheels are closer together that the T's? Any help is appreciated...
proboly your servo saver......i took an old spring(blue) and cust of 2 rings from it and rapped that around the saver, it tightens up that servo saver tremendously........just dont take any hard hits for obvious reasons!

I figured it out...the whole system was sloppy so I replaced it with a new saver and straightened it all out... now I can use the R for on road and finally raise the T and hit the dirt...
Hey guys, I was wondering which spur gear you guys reccommend for the R...55 or 60? I run on tight tracks with high traction..that is why I need a new spur gear...I stripped it under braking...it came with a 55 but it is an r converted from a T...thanks for any help
What's up Biff and Dan. Got my FT 18B and Tekin Minirage on the way. Waiting to see what I get for Father's Day before I decide on an 18R, LOL. Danny, we started offroad 1/18 on the RCP track this weekend. You need to try that, it's a blast.
Edit: Couple pics of this weekend's layout. Alyssa launched my Mini-T 3' above the wall at practice Friday night. They said CV cranked his BL all the way up and hit the light fixture. Onroad and offroad on the same layout, so we may get some 18R action going also.
what materials did you use to make the jumps for this track? I'm looking into creating something like this for a parking lot track, just not sure where to start. Is this a carpet track?
I like stock rubber tires on all surfaces. The foams are too slick for untreated tracks and have too much traction on treated tracks...always use rubbers
i am looking for a good motor for my 5 almost 6 yr. old son.
i am looking for a stock motor thats just a tad faster than the stock motor the rc18t comes with.
atomicmods.com recommended a venom fireball micro 370 motor. its modified but they told me its not really a modified motor and that its just a tad faster than the stock motor. is this true? also what pinion should i run with this motor?
also if this sin't a good motor for my son or you can recommend another, please do. also tell me the correct pinion i should run with the motor you recommend.
Im not sure if I am the only one, but I have had poor luck with all of the 18th scale brushed motors. I have MM BL for all the 18s and they are flawless for me...I would recommend the lowest KV BL system you can find...IMO this also extends run time and battery life...
