well guys i just got my rc18b and all i can say is wow.....every part packed in its bag....no parts trees ..... the only downsides are thescrews and ballstuds strip, the front shocks,no servo horn for a JR 375 so i drilled 1 out and stuck it over the huge spline, thediff screws and the instructions r sooooo confusing

a good thing tho is that i didnt have to grind my turnbuckles like some ppl had to and i love the blue anodized parts...totally wacky if u ask me lol

IMO i think it works ALOT better than the stock suspension setup.....this lowers the CG abit and if ur running the buggy body u dont need the suspension tower....

i was running it today untill i went full speed into a lightpole and broke a steering knuckle...

handles alot better at higher and lower speeds and takes the bumps alot better

I put a rear tower and rear shocks on the front of mine for our large outdoor track. That helped tremendously as far as smoothing the truck out. Laying the shocks down like above should make it smoother in corners and not in bumps. It typically would give a little more roll and cause more bite in corners. But, of course with any tuning.. it's all just general probabilities. You could actually get the exact opposite effect. For examply.. in many cases standing your shocks more upright can make the car more responsive. It's odd.. But, it happens.

i actually think that it handles better with the shocks layed down like this.....only thing is that there isnt much tunability for the ride height as it would be if the shocks wer standing up,i think its better like this for the CoG aswell...also i think this may reduce the shock shafts bending

RC18's have ball diffs, the shocks do use oil, and yeah some better battery packs would help a bit.

This is the set up that I used for my RC18T on a flat carpet track...

1. Threaded Aluminum AE Shocks
2. 80 Weight AE Shock Oil (Front)
3. 40 Weight AE Shock Oil (Rear)
4. AE Blue Springs
5. DP Drag Link
6. MIP CVD's
7. MIP Super Diffs
8. AE Titanium turnbuckles
9. AE Aluminum Heat Sink Motor Mount
10. Novak XXL Rx
11. Novak XRS Speed Control
12. Hitec HS-56HB Servo
13. RPM Front Bumper
14. Parma/PSE Foam Tires "Pink" (Rear)
15. Parma/PSE Foam Tires "Purple" (Front)
16. AE Nylon 55T Spur Gear
17. 13T Titanium Pinion
18. Deans Connectors
19.) 1 shim on all inner ball studs (lower the roll center)
20.) 2 shims on the steering knuckle ball studs (bump steer)
21.) Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer 2.0 Body

For a carpet track with jumps I replaced the front shock oil with 35wt.

The key parts to the handling are the shims for the ball studs and the DP draglink. For more info click on my sig.

So about how much is it to build one up, they may do the modded class later so that's why I'm looking to do everything but the motor. And where can I find videos of these in action.

Just start with a stock RC18 and add the DP draglink and a set of foams to start with. Everything else really is just fine tuning that you will do as time goes on. I couldn't begin to tell you how much money I have spent on these things. It's been a lot of trial and error. But the setup that I posted above is proven.

I did forget to mention above that you are going to want to find some sort of aftermarket servo saver. The stock saver is very loose and doesn't track very well.

I did the 0-ring mod to my servo saver and it's 300% better.
I also made my own draglink out of tin while I wait for the DP link and gear cover to show up
