u will either
1)blow the brushes in the motor
2)make the brushes so hot that they weld themselves to the COMM wen u stop
3)make the comm REALY dirty with carbon or w/e
4)melt the endbell

trust me i know....everything has happened to me.. and ive gone through approx 14 motors in 2 days till i went to brushless and havnt had a headache since

your better off with a brushless ESC.....look around for the NOVATECH 4517 speedy... thats wat i got and its INSANE....auto detects the battery and has auto cut off,can handle upto 16.8 volts unlike the mamba which has 11.6 or sumthing and this 1 is completely plug n play.....no setting up for diff batt types or nuthing....it does it all itself AND the biggest bonus is that it dosnt stutter/cog AT ALL!!!!! NOT EVEN ONCE!

now has ne1 got any pinions bigger than 18tooth?.....i need like a 20Tooth or sumthing

AND i made a wheelie bar for my mini t....its driveable now lol

thanks PSO, i think i might have to get the Li-po and brushless AND a charger at the same time. i might just....no, i won't just get a better brushed motor. i get some more $$$ next week, so with that i can get everything. PSO, does your brushless motor get very hot? i was thinking about gettting one of those heatsink motor mounts and heatsink motor guards. and an alloy pinion and spur gear set would probably be a good idea too.

mac no need for the alloy spur or pinion,u MAY want to get an alloy pinion but the biggest i seen is 15tooth and thats WAY too small for te brushless,im running an 18tooth and its still too small with 60t spur, get the dual disk slipper clutch.

my motor gets abit warm but not as hot as my brushed motors....its prolly as warm as the battery pack

u might wana get a 3 cell lipo...its worth it trust me and for a charger see if u can pickup a SJ swallow ADVANCE i dont think they are in america but here in aus its the best charger u can buy

charges 1 to 5 cell lipo and li ion
1 to 14 cells nicd and nimh
1 to 6 cells lead acid
backlit screen
shows u the MAH of the battery and how much mah its feeding it
time

and has corally style output plugs and comes with 2 already....its a great charger and goes for about 69 bucks USD.....100 bucks AUSD

if u are gona go brushless and are gona use a hs81 servo tell me cause i fooked mine cause iwas running without a servo saver....first run out and boom lol

if u want i think u can get em repaired cheap or sumthing....ill sell it to ya or ill just get metal gears for it lol

with this battery, it's made to fit the Mini-t by Dynamite.

i was thinking about getting the full Competition X Mamba system, 8000kV!!! do you think this will be too much to control?

They are controlable ( if you can resist mashing the throttle, and work it with a bit of finesse ) and yes a wheelie bar is advisable, I was running mine with the 8000kv mamba and a 2s lipo, on the beach with the losi sand paddles , and wow oulling wheelies from half throttle and they just flip out if you mash the throttle hard or soft sand...

i wouldnt buy that charger........only 250,500 and 1000mah charge currents

i would get a good charger with a LCD screen....

if u get mamba x u will need to upgrade to balldiff and slipper clutch and buy a whole lot of other crap....i got 5400kv himark motor with 25 amp novatech speedy and im gona race my mates zt2 which is similar truck (2wd etc) with same battery and he has the same motor but he has a mamba 25 esc...

duno wen but i am tho lol

with the 5400kv it flips over on 1/4 throttle....totally insane....i put a 18tooth pinion on it which calmed it down abit....

mac the battery is good....i wouldnt get the charger AND the mamba escs cant handle more than 3 cell lipo.......i think its got a max v of 12.6 or sumthing i dont know...but i know that my novatech speedy can handle upto 16.8 volts which is better than insane!!!

1 or 1.5 amps.....if its a good brand of batter like GP or intellect charge at 1.8 or 2 amps

and every 10-15 cycles discharge the battery on a 20 amps discharger like a bulb discharger or a proper discharger and charge at 1.3-1.5 amps......

the wire dosnt realy matter....u can use 18awg wire or 20...i dont think its a good idea to use mini deans..(im talking bout those 1 pin on each side thing) they just melt on high power applications

lipos gotta be charged at their capacity......say u had a 800mah lipo u gotta charge it at 800mah or .8 amps.....if u got a 1300mah lipo u gotta charge at 1300 mah or 1.3 amps.....i think u could use that charger but i wouldnt......it will take around 150 minutes to charge a 800 mah lipo on the 500setting....and ucannot charge a lipo more than its capacity......like charging a 800mah lipo at 1.3 amps

IT WILL BLOW UP!

venom 4mm bullet plugs aka corallys ....they are the same as the swallow charger output plugs

i hate em......bought 2 pairs and will never buy them again....if u dont have a high wattage soldering iron atleast 100watts or higher the plastic gets soft and the tabs move out of aligment and either dont contact and if they are slightly contacting theres hellava lot of resistance...........i love the bullet plugs
