Default Problem installing HS56 servo

I tried to install an HS56 servo in a Mini-T Pro, but this servo appears to be a little bit too deep to fit properly in the chassis. The supporting rib in the chassis behind the servo is blocking it from going back far enough. To install this servo - are people cutting out this rib in the chassis - and if you do will that affect the chassis strength? I had an HS55 installed before this, and it fit perfect but the gears stripped pretty quick.

Yeah, most people get a dremel and drill almost all of the compartment out.
I'm running a HS-81MG and the servo compartment is nigh on flat. The only things left are the screw holes to hold the servo down and in place.

Just got mine today, its my first R/C car and I love it! It's quick and durable and drives the dogs crazy! I bought the rechargeable 7.2v battery for it and I'm very pleased. I'm goin to race it at Hobbytown tomorrow in the parking lot. Any advice?

Andrew667 : There is not much that needs doing to the stock mini T , depending on what you will be racing against, but a few upgrades that you should get are, ball bearings, losi oil shocks, ball diff , CVD's and a dual disc slipper spur. Not that these are all required but they will help if you plan to race it against others... hope this helps

Just for the Aussie folks out there, Custom Model Cars in Penshurst, NSW has a sale on all it's Losi parts at the moment, including mini-t bits. Although he doesnt have a huge range of the plastic replacement parts, the ones he does have are cheap as chips. Not to mention the tires are about half of retail most other places whilst they're on sale.

That was a completely shameless plug, for those that take advantage i think it's worth it.

Hey mate, here's the link to the Price List for the losi parts. All the mini-t bits are at the top of the page.

It's awesome when you get wheels, and tires (w/ foams) all pre glued for $12 a pop. Though I couldn't find any spindle carrier/hub sets when i was in there today, which is annoying as they're about 60% of retail on that list.

Cheers

PS: If you're still using that bodgey mini-t servo and still munching through the servo gears, I think he had a few on the wall today, and for $2.20 you may as well stock up.

Any of you ran teh Bow-Ties on your Mini-T? I am thinking about getting a set, but was seeing if there was any feedback. They should be allright, but... I also ordered the PRO slipper kit, the PRO Diff kit, and the PRO Shocks, any other upgrades besides the mambe, and a Hited 81mg servo? I am planning on going with a full-force alm chassis here shortly.
Thanks,
Rod
