3. How fast do they go out of the box?

Thanks
1. Not sure of the limit but I ran an orion big block with mine and it was fine

2. Bearings and oil shocks also maybe some more tyres the losi step pins hook up good on all surfaces, 6 cell nmih pack for sure or lipo pack, also spare pinions, and servo if you run with the stock electronics.

3. out of the box they are pretty good to run indoors etc, but out side they aren't much ( with the stock 4 AA battery holder) but a 7.2 pack livens them up a fair bit , I'd say maybe 20klm/hr stock . The losi speed motor is a bit better but any more you'd want a different motor.

Personally I'd reccomend that you go the pro version straight up as they have most of the essential hop ups stock, them get a hitec HS55 or similar your own radio gear and a nice esc not necessarily a micro esc but a small one like LRP Quantum ( any of that range) or the new AI speedies, Nosram dominator or Hawk series, Futaba esc's or KO The yare all quite small and you'll be much happier with their performance, I went the RTR then upgraded it to pro specs and it cost me more than if I bought the pro in the first place.

ball bearrings for the wheels, maybe if u want to use Touring car wheels on the back get some 1/10 scale touring car axles and 2 5x8 bearings for each side and u can use any wheel with a 12mm hex,u may need to space up the axle abit tho...the stock axles are pretty dam weak and i accidently used some red threadlocker instead of blue because i couldnt find my blue stuff and i had to brake off the axle to get the wheel off lol..pretty flimsy....
the TC axles will work with the stock dogbones too.......

if u guys dont get the picture ill post up a pik...

get a 2 cell lipo or some 7.2packs...the 2 cell lipo with stock electronics will make it go around 35k's....i got a 2 cell 800 mah lipo and 18Tooth pinion with thunder tiger motor and it flys....wheelstands and all.....
the 7.2 nimh packs are tooooooo heavy if u ask me....and the lipos last way longer

I have 5 or 6 box stock
Mini-T's. My family plays with them as often as we can. We are considering building a track in the yard. We would like to keep the trucks as stock as possible.

What size track and lanes would you recommend? Space and budget are not really a concern. I was thinking 20'x40'. Suggestions or photos of your track?

Only micro sized servos will fit such as the Hitec HS 55/56 etc but you can modify the chassis to fit a HS81 but it is heaps of work, I'd go a HS 56 or the JR equivalent if you chat to the guys a modelflight they'll point you in the right direction, you also need a micro servo saver to suit either the JR or Hitec they are an option part .

As for the esc you still need the motor and for the price of the plane brushlesss setups you could almost get a mamba or tekin a car specific system so your profiles and programing will suit car driving look here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXHAJ0&P=ML this would suit the mini T great with heaps of speed and run time .

Hope this helps oh and how is the JRXS treating you ? having many wins ?

Does anyone know where you can get Spy 7.2v battery packs from. They are like 3 cell but 7.2v. Heres a link to one in a car. If you scroll down you can see a pic with the body off and look at the pack. Does anyone know where i can get one of these.

http://rccaraction.com/rc/articles/minit_mad.asp

Also does anyone know where i can get a 2cell Li-Po pack to fit in the mini-t from? Do you have to use special li-po chargers to charge them?

Thanks

Try stormerhobbies for thr Novak Spy packs and her for the lipo http://www.modelflight.com.au/flightpower.htm you need atleast a 20c discharge rate for a mini T with brushless and yes you need a dedicated lipo/lion charger, like much more CTX, team orion Advantage or druatrax ICE, Swallow chargers are also good lipo chargers. hope this helps..

the only thing i had to replace on my mini t are the servogears and that was sorta my fault.....i was running in fine dirt and it had built up around the servo saver and had caused it to like jam up.....hit the garden post n it broke lol....and i gotta replace my chassis too....went full speed into a fishtank lOL!....snapped in half lmao...i still run it with a snapped chassis.......i put a 1mm thick plate underneath lol.....i dont realy have to replace it.....and ive broken the front bulkhead thing that the shock tower screws into.....i fixed that up with a brace too.......and now my diff gave out and i only got 1wd LOL.....still works

may be getting a jwerks brushless system...then ill go ball diff....

the rear shafts are bulletproof...1/10 scale dragster shafts that had over 7hp going through em..i doubt ill blow those suckers

Where're you getting your Jwerks from?

Just a tip, Get a dual disc slipper before the ball diff or you'll end up buying the ball diff again. 8000 systems without the dual disc will tear it a new one.

Just going to mention, before you run out and pick up a Jwerks, ebay has Quark Pro Car + Hacker E30-13L 's for A$140. That's a fairly tops price for a new system, and supposedly the Quark is a very nice controller.
