i just bought some drag slicks for my T and when i put her on the street, it keeps spinning out! it's really annoying and you have to either put the dual rate all the way down or be very easy on the throttle. but i have a ball diff, so can i tighten that thing up as much as i can to create a sort of spool?

Are you trying to drag race?

We race at our LHS on Sunday. The secret of course is Coca-Cola, our start line is sprayed down with coke syrup, then about ten feet out. This allows some good hook up, then the diff is the way to go handling wise, spooling the rear can make it very hard to drive. one bounce and the car is going in the wrong direction.

i don't drag race, i just want to make it so that the truck doesn't spin out all the time (on pavement with the slick tires). like i said, do you think that by tightening the diff i can achieve torque balance? or do you think it's the tires that can't grip on the unprepared surface?

ya, use a longer drive pin and slap on a 1/10 hex and there you go. PSO did it, ask him too.

swap 0ut the 4x8mm bearings f0r 5x8mm and use the axles fr0m a m0delengines nitr0 blaster and b0lt 0n tyres as u w0uld n0rmally 0n a 1/10 scale TC

this will N0T w0rk if u are using CVDS

i was using 45mm wide dragslicks and it was crazy

Talking

hi, im pretty new to RC in general, ive got about 4-5 months of RC knowledge starting with a tl-01, TT-01, FF-02, Duratrax nitro truck and finnaly an E-zilla.

However the nitro truck is off and im getting a used but v hopped up alloy mini T

So i want to know, it has a ball diff(inc a spare) and lots of alloy all over!!

What size motor does this little beast take so when i get it i can look into upgrading as it has a fireball motor at the moment!

Also what wheels fit this?? Ive read that 1/10th tyres take a fair amount of work so what rims will fit standard, that have a road look to them??

Last but not least, What shells fit this?? i really want a hummer shell but what make of shell will fit nicely??

cheers guys

there are a lot of hop ups available for the Mini-t, you just need to seach for them. a lot of companies make bodies for it, such as www.prolineracing.com, www.parmapse.com, and www.teamlosi.com. all of their bodies are perfectly fitted to the chassis and should have drill holes too.

Proline also has some wheel/tire combos you can use too. i'd stick with the 1/18 sizes for now.

no, 7.2v stick packs will not work because they are bigger than the actual car itself! you will have to get a mini sized 7.2v pack at your LHS.

ok i got my mini t today, not v impressed with the other guys thoe.

he forgot to send:

esc
New body
Chrome rims

The metal motor mount seems to be missing 2 screws from the bottom and the battery is taped to the upper deck.

Is the upper deck ment to be short and only held on at the front and not the rear??

And what is the connector on the motor??

im considering sending it back instead of my nitro truck!!

what do you think??
