Default Welcome to the Micro/Mini forum!

For some time people have requested a forum like this, and I finally got around to getting it in here. So here it is, the place to talk about any micro-scaled vehicles, be they on-road, off-road, monster trucks, or anything else. Electric and nitro, this is the place.

Enjoy!

Does anybody know any good mods for the HPI Micro RS4, to help it handle a little better, I am racing against M18's and they get me in the twisty stuff, mine has got a front oneway, GPM alloy oil fidded shocks and adjustable top arms, GPM ? Titanium chassis and carbon upper deck, which has been lowered, Hitec HS 55 micro servo, Orion big block, rear gear diff with ball bearing in the RH wheel (for the diff action), and upgraded rear shock to threaded oil filled mini t shock. Also running a mini T style six cell IB1200 pack running down the centre line to keep the weight central. My main gripe with it is change directions quickly (chicaines) it seems to want to spinout always when you do it with a bit of speed even when I step on the power hard it steps out to the left. Ball biff ? or is the stock gear diff fine. I had my mambe 8000 in it but keep on breaking front drive shafts, ( still have the stockers) but wow fast , but only in a straight line.

if you are going to be running on a technical course i would think that a front ball diff would be a bit more beneficial IMO

Go down to 5 cells and run the Mamba. Also get a pan chassis if you can. Get rid of the GPM front shocks and run the stock ones. Upgrade the driveshafts, HPI steel ones are the best, even though they cost a little more. Also, tires are the most important setup, what are you running? Foams will be te best.
