Hi, I read your message about the layshaft mount. The problem with removing the rear part of that lower section is that it will only be held by one screw, during their design and testing process they added that second screw as it kept stripping spurs.
On the '15 mount the layshaft and motor mount are all one single piece, sadly I don't think it can be fitted to the '14

Hi Skiddins, I grinded a relief recess into my Xray T4 14' motor mount to allow clearance for the rear diff. belt like you said. I wanted to get your opinion on what I am thinking. I saw the 15' motor mount and saw that it only uses one screw hole on the lay shaft bulk head versus the 14' motor mount which uses both and shadows the lay shaft bulk head completely (current belt rubbing issue). Lets say I use my dremel and remove the rear hole section of my 14' motor mount so it mirrors the 15' motor mount design. What you think about that? I know I can make it look pretty minus the aluminum finish missing all that wonderful orange anodized aluminum. You think that will decrease my chances of tweak in that area as well? I know you had the same issue as I did and wanted your take/ opinion on all this. Thanks in advance and my car is setup for 17.5 TC.
