    hi :-)

i kind of do it my own way. First, i sand the diffcase on a glassplate so it is flat. Then i screw diffcase and crownwheel toghether and fit the pinion inside the gearbox with the center driveshaft atached. Put empty diff inside and screw the gearbox toghter. I shim as tight as as i can feel a very slight grinding on the theeth. I then disassemble, put diffs toghter with all internals and drive the car for half an hour to run in the gears. After that i rechck my mesh and do it all over again, but this time, it has to be real smooth and you can not feel any contact/grinding feel from the diffgears. I have done this for 10+ years and have not have any gears gone bad :-)
