I run the front belt a little tighter than the rear belt. This is because I want the overall slack in the drivetrain to be about the same front to rear. If the belts had equal tension, the longer front belt would produce more slack and the rear wheels would get drive a little sooner, which would result in an initial rear wheel drive effect both on and off throttle, which generally produces a loose feeling.

The new TC7 belts grip better, so they don't need to be as tight. The rear is as loose as I can get it without skipping. Normally if set correctly in TC Mod, when you push down on the belt about an inch away from the spool, it should flex about 1-2mm. Then I set the front just a bit tighter than that.

Also, be sure to check them after a day's racing if they're new as they might stretch a little.

We can start set up on Friday morning. If you have any tables like the folding ones bring it if you can. We are going to talk more this sunday at our club race so if you can make it that would be good!. if not we cant talk before the Friday and get a time that most guys are coming out to start set up.

There is going to be a bunch of things to get done by mid afternoon.
