Exclamation One cell went dead... Is it possible to bypass dead cell?

I have a 3S LiPo, and one of the cells was defective and died.

The other two are perfect. Its a hard-case battery.

Is there any way I can open up the case, and re-wire the battery in a way that would bypass (or eliminate) the bad cell?

Thanks!!!

Cool

It is way too late for a warranty, if thats what your trying to find out.

Thanks anyway!

Edit: The 3S kept overheating my ESC anyway, turning it into a 2S would be awesome, if possible!!!

The thing I need to know is the age to see if it was a welded tab pack or soldered.

Welded tabs cannot be pulled apart.

Ooooooooooh. I get it!

Its about... hmmmm... maybe a year old (or more)...

It sat on the shelf for a while (charged it every Sunday so it wouldn't die)...

Well, how would I go about pulling the case apart? I tried, and it seems to be glued maybe? Is there a specific point where I could try to pry it open?

I do not need to save the case, I can always make a new one, or just wrap it real good and not use it at the races...

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it!!!

Do this..........go to our policies page and fill out the rma form linked at the bottom left. Send it with instructions to revamp the pack to a 2S and we will do it free of charge for you.

Just put attention Jason on the package.
