Default Question on a sub c i just bought

Hi guys,

I just bought a few things from you and they arrived today. one of the things i did buy was a sub c for my glow ignitor. Now my ignitor takes a Sub c battery but i noticed that it was just a smidge too big for the housing.

I had to take the two layers of shrink plastic off the battery for it to fit.

my question is.. is taking off that plastic a bad thing?

It shouldn't hurt it in any way it's just a label.
