If you have a question about a maxamp battery go ahead and ask, no need to come in here just to bash their product. Next basher will get a few days off from rctech.

I am sorry for this thread. I never expected it to turn into a flame war. I still have and use on MaxAmps packs. The quality is unsurpassed and the customer support is second to none. If anybody else wants to roll the dice with cheap lipos Thats they're problem

I hope this question is legitimate: I own 3 Maxamps batts-2s5250, 2s5000, and a 3s5250. For my personal use they are truly the best! What I need to know is; after running the batts, is it best to run them completely down to shutoff before recharging or will they develop a memory if they are not completely run down? Thanks, Eric

Li-Po's don't develop memory like NimH packs. No need to discharge them just charge and run.

Im glad marcos put a stop to the flaming.

Everyone has had a problem with something that they bought for a hobby, weither it be an esc or a lipo battery.

I can tell you that I have had batteries from both Max Amps and SMC, go bad on me, over the years. And guess what, both companies replaced the batteries with no questions asked.

That is exactly what you would expect from a quality state side company. I would rather pay a little more for customer support, and friendly service when ever I need it. A 3 year warantee is incredible, even if it is pro rated, technonogy changes so if your battery needs replacement after two years, you get the newer gear any way, which is what most of us do, when we sell our old gear for new gear.

Any way, I have two 6500 erevo packs and I am not a fan of soft cased batteries, as I had a soft cased saddle pack almost take out my b44 in a fire, but in all fairness a friend of mine was super excited about his $50 zippy that he bought 2 months ago. He jsut had to replace it, no warantee, no customer service, no forum to ask questions on, no one from china to talk to, just out $50

To each there own....

And just my opinion...
