Final na ba na TL-01 and TT-01 kit lng pwede?

ok yan sir
But who's going to judge the drift styles?
what if car one has big time gap on car two on first run but it didn't drift well and car two has less time gap with car one but drifts well? pano point system nun?

ok... if that scenario happens, then the bonus and penalty times will be tallied. if car one still has a time gap ahead of car two after the bonus and penalty times are tallied, then car one is still the winner...

clarification:
the term "dont drift enough" means your car was not sideways enough through the corner (as though the car was just an oversteering touring car and not a true drift car)

while "drift style" refers specifically to how good the drift was. naturally, the more sideways the car, the better. but also, if you keep the car to the racing line throughout the drift, then that adds to the bonuses...

in short,
if you stay on the inside line while drifting, thats good
if you stay on the outside line while drifting, thats bad

R/C Drifting Stateside

Kumusta ang mga drifters sa filipinas. Mayroon ako ng website para sa R/C Drifting. www.groovydrift.com. Lahat ng team members nasa San Diego at pilipino kami. Sorry po, please excuse my tagalog.

Anyways, we are the probably the most known team in the US, Australia and England. We've had many events.

We also started a forum. I could set up a section for the Philippines.

toothicure,
Pwede yan bro. any kit will do, basta 4wd. I tried RWD drifting medyo mahirap, you'll always end up spinning.

sabi nila masmaganda daw ang shaft vs belt...

sir tommi,
have you heard of the clipping point? its a post located at the apex on a turn and isa sya sa basis ng scoring ng drifting.

wait...aren't RWD cars the easiest to drift anytime? (even in real life right, the FR cars)

I checked out that Tamiya TT-01D Drift Spec car sa Lil's kanina, 5999 if i remember correctly, basta malapit na sa 6k. It's cool, packaging palang you can feel the drifting power, but the thing is wala pang Speed Controller, the Controller itself, and Battery. If i get the required stuff pa and a charger that would take me above 10k, shet di ko na kaya un

:

RC's are far from real cars. Same features, etc but if you scale up an rc car it would beat the crap out of an F1 car. The physics aren't the same.

yeah...that figures. but i'd still stubbornly use a RWD R/C to drift just for the heck of it...with a front mounted motor.

right now i just wanna get the drift kit for the Xmods

ive heard of it... its the part of the apex itself and the scoring is based on how close you can get to the point without hitting it (since hitting it will cause a run-ending spin and some costly front end damage...)

thats part of the bonuses i will throw in... get as close to the apex of the corner as possible...

Bro just buy your transmitter and electronics. I think in drifting its not about how fast or how many hopped-up you have in your car. you can buy 2nd hand kit and add some essential parts for drifting. it would cost lower than buying a new one.

Yo bro, I got the TT01D package from Lil's 1 month back. Ok yung package na yun since meron na syang ESC and Motor... plus hopped up na yung suspension nya to adjustables.

Try to look for 2nd hand radios and batteries para makatipid ka. Ganon din naman e. Yun nga lang baka charger yung magpapabigat ng bulsa mo.

Also when getting a TT01D bumili ka na rin ng aluminum drive shaft. Importante yun sa rcdrifting. I had my rear differentials locked with hot glue and it works like a charm. Tipid pa!

Im buying stiff shocks and extra thick damper mamaya. Just trying it on kasi sabi daw mas maganda sa drift yung ganong setup.

Xmod01,
Lock diffs? i'm using Heavy grease on my rear but not locking the diffs. is it ok? front or rear?
Ok ba stiff shocks? i have read some article in Rc drifting that its better to use soft in front and softer in rear. they said that you need the weight to transfer quickly to let your tail swing while turning.

soft shocks are better... during the 2005 Tamiya Asia Cup in singapore I was able to take a look at the setup of the drift cars of singapore, HK, and thailand... i noted that they do use soft shocks and springs for better weight transfer but in the case of the singapore car, they use a rear swaybar to induce the drift...

havent tried this setup yet as i havent bought a rear swaybar set for the TT-01 here...
