IMPORTANT UPDATE: March 11, 2013
Salam and Hi everyone,
31st March 2013 GP Buggy MFR:
Topic: Personal Transponder
This is to inform that for those racers (any) who does not have a personal transponder, the organizers will be providing a Personal Transponder for you, on loan. The term is simple,
1. before any race, the PT will be given to you before just before start of race at the race area/paddock...
2. make sure it is connected properly and your Rx have the spare port required.
3. At end of your race(heat), please return the personal transponder to the MC/Race Coordinator before you leave the race/paddock area.
4. Before you start a new heat, a new personal transponder will be given to you.
5......and so forth.
Please take good care of the PT given to you on loan as we have limited Personal Transponder to be used as 'shared pool'.
This will ensure that all newbies, first timers or anyone who does not have a Personal Transponder(PT) will be able to participate, enjoy and gain the valuable experience of racing the NL style.

A lot of newbies and first timers malu mau register or never go to Forum or net. So I register for them.
Again, Many thanks for those who support our club race initiation.
Just in case if some missed the facilities for 31st.
1. There will be big white tents erected at the track for the event on 31st March. This will include tables and chairs and electricity.
2. The race will be conducted with a proper PA system. This will allow the MC and the race controller to do announcements as well as commentator.
3. The race will be using AMB Transponder system. We have lay all the cable pickup sensors on the track.
5. F&B will be provided - Home made cooking lunch will be prepared for all racers (and paid pax).
6. The prizes for all category is already in the ordering process. DBKL has sanctioned this event and will be present to 'lihat' this 31st MFR #8 Buggy Race.
The newbies and first-timers are all exited(but malu mau letak nama) with all the new engines and kits/upgrades that they have purchased from LHS around KL. This is a sign of positive support that MyMTRG MFR creates/generate for the LHS. They are looking forward to race together side by side with the Pros and MNLs and learn the experience from them.
Thanks to the positive response from the PD RC group and BatangKali/Bentong RC group for committing to participate in our MFR #8 Buggy cateogry. They have been coming every weekend for practice on the new improved track surface/layouts.

Response to a Q abt buggy race.
Practice for MFR is always free at TMB. Like today, thursday, lots of people practice for mfr especially buggy. However, this Sunday 17th march got race for MT, SCT n 1/10 n maybe truggy as well depending on time n crowd.

Again, Many thanks for those who support our club race initiation.
Just in case if some missed the facilities for 31st.
1. There will be big white tents erected at the track for the event on 31st March. This will include tables and chairs and electricity.
2. The race will be conducted with a proper PA system. This will allow the MC and the race controller to do announcements as well as commentator.
3. The race will be using AMB Transponder system. We have lay all the cable pickup sensors on the track.
5. F&B will be provided - Home made cooking lunch will be prepared for all racers (and paid pax).
6. The prizes for all category is already in the ordering process. DBKL has sanctioned this event and will be present to 'lihat' this 31st MFR #8 Buggy Race.
The newbies and first-timers are all exited(but malu mau letak nama) with all the new engines and kits/upgrades that they have purchased from LHS around KL. This is a sign of positive support that MyMTRG MFR creates/generate for the LHS. They are looking forward to race together side by side with the Pros and MNLs and learn the experience from them.
Thanks to the positive response from the PD RC group and BatangKali/Bentong RC group for committing to participate in our MFR #8 Buggy cateogry. They have been coming every weekend for practice on the new improved track surface/layouts.

UPDATE: Registration Date Changes

Hi,
Just to inform, club has agreed to extend the last date line to register with payment for MFR #8 Buggy Category is on Saturday 30th March evening(petang ~ 5pm).
This will give first timers time to go TMB track to try it out and practice there latest by Saturday 30th and if they like it, they can register.
The deadline of 5pm will give us very small window to:-
1. Prepare food for the confirmed head count/paid. Each need to be packed and prepared by one of the club members spouse (memang sedap bro). Takut nnt ada yang register the morning of Sunday 31st, food is not prepared for that person...tu jer yang takut. We also have to be fair to the wife of the club member - to give her enough time to buy the materials needed and cook for us.
2. Enter all the PTs in the system to be ready for the next day race.
Hope the registration schedule update is more favorable to all.

MFR #8 17th March MT, SCT and 1/10 OPEN race results
Results of the MFR #8, 17th March 2013 - Monster Truck, Short Course and 1/10 OPEN Category
Update:
Thanks to the participants who turn up during race day with some as early as 8am. Breakfast ready at 8:30am.
The race was delayed by 1+ hour as there were a few(3) small patches of mud due to the heavy rain before the evening before...good thing the drainage that we had built worked very well..4 volunteers 'tabur' soil onto the patch and we are ready to start the race.

Everyone had a lot of fun in our race[note: race format is not like MNL style, its more focus to fun for all categories...regardless of type of RC and brand.]. Its a mixed of very first timers, well prepared and not so well prepared, skilled and extremely knee-shaking beginners, big budget racers, small budget racers - all kinds of mixtures...as one can see from the race results..nonetheless, its is FUN FACTOR for all that we are focusing.....
Feedback received from racers, there are no issues or complaints whatsoever. MyMTRG club members will however improve the organizational logistics of future races in this category. The lunch i hear was extremely good as it was 'home made' and not shop made. I personally enjoy the lunch eventhough I had to eat it in a rush in prep for the next race.
To all the winners and lucky draw winners, their prizes will be given out to you on the 31st March MFR #8 Buggy Category together with the winners of the MFR #8 Buggy race - that is in the evening....

Update:
Please take note that the registration for the MFR #8 CATEGORY: 1/8 NITRO BUGGY OPEN is still ongoing.
As we have finished the MFR race for the MT, SCT and 1/10 EP, I believe this weekend (23/24 March) free practice will be focus on buggy. I will be at TMB to ascertain any possible issues/questions in regards to the MFR #8 CATEGORY: 1/8 NITRO BUGGY OPEN race.
As per personally adviced, all newbies and first timers - please ensure that you will be on time on race day as registration will begin at 8am. And race will start at 9am.

As we have finished the MFR race for the MT, SCT and 1/10 EP, I believe this weekend (23/24 March) free practice will be focus on buggy. I will be at TMB to ascertain any possible issues/questions in regards to the MFR #8 CATEGORY: 1/8 NITRO BUGGY OPEN race.
As per personally adviced, all newbies and first timers - please ensure that you will be on time on race day as registration will begin at 8am. And race will start at 9am.

EVENT SAFETY - NO COMPROMISE
Hi,
In the recent development of an official event where RC heli is used a few days ago where an 18 month old baby had died, in a freak RC Heli accident crash during a rc heli gimmic, I would like to stress out the importance of 'Public Safety' for our MFR.
Please take note:
1. This MFR (and future MFRs) is more for fun and exposure and not a 'do and die competition' such that one will need to race with a 'go crazy' attitude and mindless driving thus exposing extreme high risk to public/fellowRC safety. Winning this MFR is just to have 'prize of recognition', adrenaline rush with lots of exitements/lafter
Newbies and First-timers - please take note of what to do and not to do when it comes to safety.
2. The club will now erect safety net around the pit-lane, paddock area and certain location on the track to increase safety to racers/pit-crew/marshals/people in that area.
3. WHAT NOT TO DO: WHEN COMING INTO THE PIT LANE, DO NOT DRIVE FAST. PIT CREWS ARE WORKING FOR THEIR TEAMS IN THE PIT LANE AREA. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE FAST GOING INTO THE PIT LANE, WHILE IN THE PIT LANE ITSELF UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF THE PIT LANE
4. RACE MARSHALS. these people are equally important as the pit crews. Race Marshals are exposed to extremely dangerous situation all the time throughout the race. If there are marshals on the track, please slow down your vehicle with safety in mind. Newbies/first-timers - please adhere to this.
5. PUBLIC WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO INTO THE TRACK AREA. ANYONE SEEING THE PUBLIC IN THE TRACK AREA OR TOO CLOSE TO THE TRACK OR STANDING BESIDE THE TRACK LANES, PLEASE ASK THEM POLITELY TO GO OUTSIDE THE FENCE.
6. For those racers/team members who brings their family and children, please take note of the above safety. For those bringing toddlers, please attend to them and not leave them unattended to watch the race beside the track.
LET US ALL HAVE GOOD FUN AND FRIENDSHIP TOGETHER IN THIS MFR, AND FUTURE MFRs WITH SAFETY IN MIND AND AVOID ANY UNWANTED INCIDENTS.

Kelvin had a try at the track a couple of times and I have gotten a few feedback from him. Besides the natural track terrain which gives mixed unpredictable tire choices as one form of technicality, the club will also introduce a couple new 'technical' obstacles on the track to make the race even more exiting - ie. it will test the shock setup.
Yes, Kevin, too bad that the race is on 31st and not the 24th as the club was made to understand that the Southern League race is not happening. No worries, the next MFR, maybe.

As feedback from the last 17th MFR race where the 'home cooked rendang' is of excellent choice, for the 31st buggy category, we will make sure that the food prepared wins this MFR, hands down...hehehe.
