ORCA BL Championship 2011 (1st Round)

We are pleased to announce the 1st round of ORCA BL Championship 2011
Date: 17th April 2011 (Sunday)
Venue: Planet Speedway
Class: 1/10th Touring Car
Entry Fees:
RM40.00 for Open Class (Turbo-Timing)
RM50.00 for Stock Class (Zero-Timing)

Open Class
1. Open motor, any brand of brushless 17.5T motor is allowed
2. In order to be eligible to race in open class, racers are required to use at least one of the following items from ORCA, preferbly all : -
a) ORCA electronics speed controller
b) ORCA batteries
c) ORCA motor
3. Total Minimum Weight allowed – 1420g (Including transponder or personal transponder)
4. Any brand of tires are allowed. Must be rubber based. Both Slick and Grooved allowed.
- Only 1 set of tires allowed throughout the whole race, except for A Main finalist which entitled to use 1 more set
5. Any brand of battery type & capacity is permitted
- Limited to only 6 cells Ni-Cd/Ni-MH or 2 cell Lipo
6. Any Brand of Brushless ESC are permitted, however NO REVERSE function is allowed during RACE
Stock Class (Zero-timing Class)
1. Handout ORCA RX-2 17.5T Motor
- Will be handed out on the race day and to be returned to the organiser after the race on the same day. Failure to do so will incur penalty charges.
- Motor cannot be disassembled or tampered in any manner
2. Total Minimum Weight allowed – 1420g (Including transponder or personal transponder)
3. Any brand of tires are allowed. Must be rubber based. Both Slick and Grooved allowed.
- Only 1 set of tires allowed throughout the whole race
4. Any brand of battery type & capacity is permitted
- Limited to only 6 cells Ni-Cd/Ni-MH or 2 cell Lipo
5. Any Brand of Brushless ESC are permitted, provided it has the ROAR initiated Blinking Zero Timing Indicator . (Pls refer to the bottom for the list of approved ESCs)
- However NO REVERSE function is allowed during RACE
6. Body Shell: any types of 1/10th Touring Body (190mm) are allowed.
7. Wheels and Tires: Open to all types of Wheels and Rubber Tires.
8. The race will be run in normal touring class race format.
9. For racers do not have any esc which can clearly indicate "Zero-Timing", we can provide loan unit of ORCA 6X esc, please inform us earlier as the quantity is limited.
Qualifying : 3 Heats
Finals :
- A Main: 3 rounds
- B Main: 2 rounds
- C Main: 1 round

*Zero Timing Indicator is a blinking light that will blink when the ESC is set to have 0 Deg Timing and Turbo Function Turned off.
