Hi,
I'm new in the world of nitro. Got my first truck two weeks ago. Everything on the truck are fine, but now I;m having problem with my radio. I got MX-3 with 40.65 MHz crystal & RX-311 rx, and now my tx & rx not functioning. When i on both, the servo keep moving although no input from the tx. THe steering also only functioning in a distance about 1 meter, after that, no connection between the rx & rx. I also got the stock tx & rx that comes with my truck, but I like the MX-3.
Any idea how I can fix\verify which is having the problem? Not sure either its the tx, rx or the crystal is having prolem. I dont have any 40Mhz crystal, only got 27 AM and 35 Mhz from my esky heli..

Bro..try do as what TKHOO recommended. Thats the cheapest way to determine what actually the problem is. If the car function is back to normal when using other TX and RX. Then ....either MX3 got problem or the RX-311 or the crystal problem. Then what U need to do..is try to borrow a pair or crystal from your frend and put into your MX3 and RX-311 and see whether it resolve your problem or not (make sure the crystal is in good condition). If still not resolve after changing the crystal...then.check MX3 and the RX-311..Good luck..

Thanks for the reply ... Anybody in Subang area using 40Mhz crystal./ RX-311 rx? need help on verifying which part is having the problem.. either rx or crystal.. thank you in advance..

Bro you can also get help from the rc shop that you bought your radio or just go to any rc shop, they will sure to help.

I got it from a member online here... it was ok for about 1 month.. on now is having problem..
I went to few LHS in subang area.. none of them having 40Mhz crystal to test with.. since most ppl now go for 2.4...
Btw, can I use my esky Lipo 11.1v 1000Mah for my TX? will it cause a problem since its only 11.1v instead of 12v?..

if you are serious about this hobby, get a gd tx and you can free of trouble for the next 3 to 4 years my 2 cents
