Fuel Ingredients?

Fuel Ingredients?
Does anyone know where I can get the following fuel ingredients?
- methanol
- nitromethane
- castor oil like Benol Klotz, Castrol M or Shell Advance
- synthetic oil like Techniplate, UCON LB 625, Dumonde
Preferably in KL/PJ. Other locations would also be of interest as it serves for other people's curiousity when reading. Thanks.

Methanol and castor oil can be bought from medical supply dealers, as for the Klotz techniplate you will have to order it online. Castrol M can also be bought from those Racing Bike specialist shops.
Nitromethane is a controlled item, don't know whether you can get it locally or not, you can try the austrialian website. Maybe they sell it.
What percentages are you planing?

I think a good start is always like nothing less than 15% lube is there is no synthetic. Nitro at about 20% is enough. Question is what is the best blend of castor and synthetic?

BTW, Initial D you should ask for the ungummed castor, normal caster oil will leaves a shellac like residue in the crankcase.

Usually, 11 to 12% is enough. If you want to race, then 8% lube is very nice. The guys at the recent 1/8th worlds use 4% lube ! That will give you all the power you want but sacrificing engine longevity.

The problem with combustibles is they cannot be transported easily via courier etc.

just make sure you have fire extinguisher nearby. I also heard that when mixing fuel you have to really mix it well otherwise the nitro will evaporate fast and your mixture will be incorrect....is this true?

The engine will not last more than 2hr using this percentage, the sleeve/piston and bushing will wear out from the lack of lubrication.

Ummm, did not think of that. The idea of making your own fuel is for quality control and also to keep the cost down further ! As much as possible, if the ingredients can be bought locally, the better it is price wise.

Benol would be a better replacement but if Castrol M is the only thing available, then I have no choice... Racing bike specialist shops? Any examples?
Controlled substance? What are their other uses besides for RC fuel?
