I was at Sepang F1 few years back and I could clearly hear the distinct misfiring engine every time the car accelerate after a corner. That's a probable sound of engine note with the electronic traction control kicking in...

You see as the title of the thread implies, "Cheat Secrets". If you seperate the words "CHEAT" and "SECRET" both means something that you would not want to tell the rest of the world, how would you expect someone to post?
Anyway, your post of the TAC 2008 Finals should be called Marshall Gate come to think of it. I think the whole Malaysian contingent remembered why our Buggy second place guy did not get to goto Japan, because the officials/organizer/etc etc close one eye on the winner by allowing him to win even though he did not marshall. To me this is not cheat secret, hmmmmmm....., let me think of a name. Maybe like edison_c said, it should be called BLOKE GATE.
As for the motor incident, maybe edison_c is right, they did not bother to DQ/Punish those two prick up front because they are not eligible to go to Japan anyway. Who knows? At the end of the day, not all gates would be open. But I hope I am as rich as Bill Gates. haha.........
The 1/8 on-road engine needs an induction box to race these days, I 'high flow'd ' my induction box for better performance
To increase down force on a 1/8 scale try and increase the width on the side of the shell towards the rear end but not too much otherwise you wont pass inspection.
No more flying right now, mau jaga kulit kasi putih..... back to RC racing but on a smaller and more fun scale. Mini Z. anyone care to join?

Hmm..... good one there Danny, this is whatumaycallit, pushing the rules and regulation to the limit. Just like the double diffuser of F1....
I got one cheat that a fellow racer taught me. Remember the old days of bushing stock 27 turn motors. Well this guy (not a front runner) used to put bearings on his motors and place a brass washer to cover-up the bearing. So, organisor please beware of such tricks.
anyway I don't need to do it coz my car is fast enough to be in A-main so no need to cheat. My trick is to run in the motor carefully and drop some bushing oil during run-in. Add in some comm drop, I'm sure you'll get better rpm.... During race/heats clean the motor after every run with brush bristle or cleaner and spray it with motor cleaner. Just don't do it while the motor is HOT.

Hi RedEnzo, where do you fly at Puchong? Is it at Putra Prima? If I am not mistaken there was a flying site there. To date I understand the developer Pentitude Permai is taking the land back for house building?
I am not the one who open the gates, you did, so shouldn't be the one who should be closing the gates?
Please consider carefully before starting a thread as it is an avenue for anyone to post their opinion, thats I have used, so just accept it. Don't start some thing just to get attention as there is just no core to it. I just take it as plain entertainment thats all. So just sit back and read. Everyone of us who has raced TAC 2008 has our hands on the gate and it is us who should decide when it should be close. Mine is not close, you are never involve in the incident for TAC 2008, so I suppose you don't have a gate to hold on to, except for this thread.

They are now flying at Saujana Putra. I am taking time off from flying right now. Now Concentrating in the MRCH/IRC Mini Z Championship series. High in fun factor but very addictive.

Too many gates opened since Watergate.... Which reminds me of a particular joke. "One you jump into the WINDOW, BILL will shut the GATES so there is little chance for you get out." Sounds like hotel California......
