Ok ... this is something for us to think about. The cost of running our GP cars at per tank costing.

My ride -

Car: Mugen MTX3
Engine: Novarossi S5
Fuel: Tornado
Tires: any brand front - 40 rear - 37
Plug: Novarossi No. 5 or 7

Wear -

Front tire wear - 1 set per 15 tanks
Rear tire wear - 1 set per 5 tanks
Engine - 9 months (about 350 tanks if well maintained)
Plug - about 30 tanks (if we push it a little)
Belts - about 30 mins in Andalas if not careful!!!

For each tank we run this is the cost:

Fuel: RM2.10
Front tires: 2.20
Rear tires: 6.60
Engine: 2.20
Plug: 0.50
Belts: give it about 0.60 - normal wear and not if it splits

On this simple calculation, I am sure there is more involved we have chalked up RM14.20 per tank!!! Not bad huh?

wah u count like that ah?
but in it u also calculate a dying engine..so it means every 9 months get new engine which is ok wat...consider as installments

Lee ... my simple calculation is based on 5 tanks a week. That means you will have spent about RM75.00 a week. That 5 tanks is what you play in ONE day of the week.

yeah i see that...well what to do u n i addicted to this hobby?
lucky me i have been too busy to head to track for like 1.5 months..meaning i must've saved myself like RM400+

you forgot ti include travelling costs . you drive to the track per trip plus including toll if applicable.

40 km to the track x 2 = $4 x 2 = $8 + $ 2 toll = $10 per trip
