In the past, whenever RCAC organised a race, the turn out was not that convincing despite many have registered thru the net. The preparation and financing of these races were quite substantial. These losses "raised the eye-brow" amongst the majority of RCAC members. In addition to ths, RCAC has "expanded" its "wing" to cater both GP & EP races.

To minimise effort and cost, RCAC has decided to co-organise races with interested parties, such as Mizan Hobby, HMS Racing, Niko, PARCRA and TTRacers. As of today you can see most of RCAC co-organised races have large turn out, e.g., Citarasa Race, Nova Cup, Niko Cup, MNC EP, M-Chassis Endurance.

However, RCAC will not scrap the RCAC Grand prix. Instead RCAC has planned to rename the Grand prix as

"MNC GP for 1/10 GP & 1/8 GP"

The series is still at the "drawing board". To enlighten members on the the series, fundamentally, the series will consist of 5 rounds of racing, in which racing will be co-organised with interested parties as follows :

2 rounds at TTwangsa Track
1 round at Kota Raja Track
1 round in Melaka
1 round in Johor or Perak

At the end of the series will be the Merdeka Invitational Championship. Top 40 of the 1/10 GP & Top 30 of the 1/8 GP in the MNC GP Standing will be entitled to compete in the Invitational Championship. The rest of the competitors in the Merdeka Invitational Championship will be international racers invited for the championship. Yes, this has not been finalised, pls wait for the official announcement when it is ready.

Bear in mind, at the same time RCAC will also be organising the MNC EP. The series has been around for quite sometime, and RCAC feel responsible to keep the series running. We do hope our colloboration with PARCRA, RCMRC and KRCC will continue in years to come.

One healthy exercise we have practised in RCAC is that whenever there is a GP Race, the EP guys will come to officiate and assist the race and when there is an EP race, the GP guys will come to officiate and assist. This you have seen in the recent Nova Cup Championship and you will see again in the coming MNC 2007 Rd 3. This is the solidarity we all wish to see in the past. There is no more "EP guys, GP guys" crap.... Nowadays we ONLY play RC.

Until then, hope all the best for RCAC. Let us close our rank and unite to see GLORY in Malaysia RC scene.

To answer how many rounds, it can be 4 or 5 rounds. Venue is subjected to changes. If the Kepong track is ready, it can be one of the venue.

However, whatever the case is, the Merdeka Day race is the target. Since unofficially the Merdeka race has been blocked for ONE MAJOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, the MNC might be the qualifier for that MAJOR EVENT. It's all in the plannng. Somehow or rather we have to do the kick off, to HYPE the GP 2008 season and ROAD TO THE REGIONAL EVENT.
