My main concern is durability. I'm a rough driver, and my Impulse has survived several crashes. The Serpent is known for its durability.
ya i agree too. mugen has no agen in JB not like in KL but this car is popular there. NTC3 is easier to maintain because it is shaft driven. but do be careful not to let the chassis bent else the drive shaft 'bengkok' and causing the car to bind. i owned a Super-10 before and i had simlar problem under hard crashes.
maybe u can read more on NTC3 tread because i heard lot of people complaint it part durability..

rubber shield type bearing are more lasting than normal bearing. rubber shield type prevent dirt and pebbles going into the bearings and thus more efficient and maintainance free in this regard. but do be careful not to play the car at very sandy area as this will cause your car to bind on its parts/ joints when pebbles stuck in there...ya'. u can still play, but just remember to use air-gun to clean the pebbles and your car will last longer and smoother in its drivetrain....

hi all..
i tot we were talking about radios?i dont have much to add about the NTC3..i only know that even if it is fragile there is a dedicated TC3 shop in Sunway.better expensive than non-existant
anyway regarding radios i prefer KO-radios.
cheaper and much more functions than Futaba or Sanwa.
also got HRS.now selling under RM1000 without servo.
but i notice they are not popular with nitro cars cos i think they have glitching problems(i think only )
add KO servos to theeir radios and u got an unbeatable combo.

RM 1000 without servos? That's kinda expensive since you can get the better 3PK with 9451 digital servos for RM 550 extra.

trinity:
that's what the rumours say.i dont personally own nitro cars so im not sure.but glitching is not necessarily bcos of brand..plenty of other factors.if u look closely ..
KO doesn't really promote their radios with nitro cars..i also not sure why.
maybe JR has a better grasp in that segment.
highlights?
hmm
22 model memory
punch control
expo
multi step throttle
ABS
steering speed control(good for those who wanna slow down the high speed servo)
there is 4 user levels..u master one level then go up(with more options)
better still go to kopropo.co.uk
u will get plenty of 'propaganda' there
initial d:
i said under RM1000.exact price closer to 850-900.
add 2 digital KO servos still under 3pk price.for EP guys...we only want 1 servo anyway.
i must confess im a fan of backlit LCD's..so that's the main reason i like the 3pk..hehe

USD180 per radio
comes to USD320..u said SGD350?
even in s'pore the servo selling 100+ each.

Any suggestion on other radios beside 3pk,m8 and KO. Why m8 was the favorite for seasoned racers? I didn't see any advantage using m8 apart from the fact that it is the most expensive fm radio with some feature back in 1998 and most of the racers eagerly bought that stuff and mastered the skill using the radio. For me, thats the reason why so many racers suggeted to me that m8 was the best.

Yes, you are right. Most of the seasoned kakis have already gotten used to the M8. Besides, that was the one of the top radios at that time.
