Kelfo,

The resettable fuse seems to be a lot larger IMHO.
Also, from the datasheet, it has a resistance of 3ohm. But I am not sure if the normal fuse has that amount of resistance too. Based on the current drawn by M11, wastage is about 0.7V drop between that fuse. Kinda high to me...But that's just my opinion.

Previously, with my M8, I just solder the fuse wire in place with the fuse.

You can try to see if it works...

BTW, before you install the fuse, check along the circuitry if there is any short circuit.

Speed Demon...

Out of curiousity...

I measured a 10Amp 20mm Fuse resistance and the answer was 0.5 ohms.

The resistance of the Resettable Fuse is way higher, which would result to Higher Current Drain.

I would be paying a Visit to Farnell Later, so if any of you Guys out there, having a M8 or a M11 and think you need a Spare fuse, please let me know!!!

Speed Demon...

As a token of my appreciation...

I would like to give you the SMD fuse 500 mah. (Lower Resistance too)

I have ordered 10 pcs from Farnell Singapore.

Mine is still working since the last time I reported having problems with it. If you are going to use the included NiCad battery, try and find one more plug to connect that to a proper external charger. Don't charge it through the transmitter charge jack if possible or you might end up with a stuck switch or a blown fuse. The rest of the transmitter is nice but if you need a 3rd channel, I think the M-11 doesn't have one. It's a 2-channel radio with optional 4-channel operation but not true 4 independent channels, but some sort of channel mixing thing. I don't really understand it because I only ever use 2 channels so someone correct me if I'm wrong. Let's see what else... oh ya, it's quite heavy so if you're driving long sessions (like M-chassis nights), you will most probably be making more rest stops than pit stops.

Hi Guys...

Just fixed another Prestige M11 today, apparently its the same old lame fuse problem. After charging the Nicads, the spike can also knock out the fuse. So it would be wise to leave the batteries for a while, before switching on or upgrade the Fuse to 500mah.

After replacing my fuse, I have no more problems charging with an aftermarket external charger.
