yo bro..i v been a sanwa user since day 1 i took a pro kit last 3years..sanwa charge is only an overnite small mAh output and never fail me.LAtest i m using is M11 and nothg wrong wit the charger as long as you charge it when the voltage drops critical and leave it bout min 6hrs charge for a good voltage and amp charged.Even if i charged it direct (of coz switch off),no problem!Currenly me using lipo and i dun find any prob too..

dun worry bout getting 1,just get it from the proshop and follow the manual instructions plus some literiture from the shop pros..

Okay new update. Took the battery tray out of the MX-3 and put it into the M-11. I had tried doing that before when I first got the M-11 but I thought it didn't fit. In the end, I asked a friend and it turns out I just had to remove the sponges from the M-11 (the ones that fill up the space for the Ni-Cad pack to fit snugly) and the MX-3 tray sits there. So my M-11 is using rechargeable AA's that I charge with dedicated AA chargers now. The sponges and Ni-Cad pack has gone into the MX-3 now which doesn't have a switch to turn itself off when charging through the jack, so it shouldn't run into the stuck-switch problem if I decide to charge it through the jack. I really don't see a problem with it on the MX-3, because we charge our handphones, PDAs, cameras, ipods, laptops all this way anyway.

The other option is to try and find a Sanwa (or other brand also should fit, as long as it has 3 pins) connector like the one on the switch included with some radios (MX-3 has one) and connect that to a charger that can charge 8 cells and a high amp 14V power supply (make sure the charger can take the voltage) and charge the battery with that.

Otherwise, can just use the included Sanwa charger and hope you don't get the stuck-switch problem. If you do get stuck, try plugging it in and out a few times and hope it gets unstuck.

If you don't already have a charger and powersupply combo that can charge 8 cells, the easiest option is to try and find the Sanwa AA battery tray. I think they call it a "battery box". To charge the AA's, my advice is to get 2 similar AA chargers that can charge 4 cells each and charge all 8 cells together. They don't have to be very fast chargers but for convenience they should at least be able to fully charge your batteries in 12 hours. For some cheap AA's you can find some GP 1600mah packs in some supermarkets and it's buy 4 cells, get 4 for free and it comes with a slow charger too. Not bad for about RM65 or so.

Edit: Oh ya, the tip about the MX-3 tray came from Ng Lay Keong. Thanks!

try pushing in the charging jack in and out a few times then try to switch it on again. Hopefully this helps.

BTW, never charge the battery inside the transmitter again...

Kelfo,

If the charging jack is ok, check the fuse... there is a fuse on board marked F1,... it's white in color like cramic thingy... SMD. I think there is a picture the the pcb somewhere here...

hah.. I found the pics..

congratulations!!! go to Farnell Components and search for the SMD fuse in their catalogue. Call them at 77838000.
If I am not mistaken, M11 draws around 220mAh - 280mAh. I think it is safe to put around 350mAh - 450mAh. Never go higher!

Speed Demon...

My nearest search for the SMD fuses came to a 32V tolerance fuse and its either 250mah or 500mah.

So what do you think??? Sanwa, Farnell or RS???
