The 1/12 race can last for 8 minutes? is only 4 cells?

For 1/12 to last 8 minutes is no problem be it 4 cells or 6 cells. The number of cell do not determine the length of run but the capacity . These days we're running 3300mAH to 420mAH and lasting 8 minutes is no issue.

With reference to IFMAR rules :

2.8 RACE DURATION

2.8.1 1/12 track: All heats and finals will be eight minutes, plus maximum of 30 seconds to finish the last lap. There will be a three minute break between heats.

4.2 BATTERIES APPROVAL

4.2.8 Cars will be driven by a maximum of 6 cells and 7.2 volts maximum. For 1/12 the numbers of cells is limited to 4.

This ruling was also enforced during MNC 2006 Rd 1 Titiwangsa. All participating cars completed their runs in 8 minutes using 4 cells. Some can also run beyond 8 minutes. FYI, during MNC most of the cars run modified motors.

hi guys...
i think i went to the track on Friday nite of 30th June. I was for the HPC off-road race.
i went there with my friend, KK Lee who been living in KL just like 6 months. i chat with Suah's father. and saw some hot racers practicing. love the track. small but just nice for EP.
i heard, promoting the EP off-road. very good. good for RC EP guys. if its here, im sure gonna join. all the best friend.

*** almost goin out from there to our hotel. the road so confusing.
