Ok, I got a DF-03 now. Won't have the table space to put it together for a couple more weeks, but when I do let's get together to pump some life into the buggy scene again.

Saw the hopped-up DF-03 at TU just now. That is one heavy buggy. Own one and the biggest thing I hate on it are the front diff cups. They will get eaten up by the dogbones eventually

I saw that buggy too. All the bling came from Yeah Racing. It sure was heavy. Maybe an extra half a kilo. The shock towers looked as thick as the ones on 1/8 buggies.

ganaz-x, I have not built or run mine but I heard the diff cup damage comes from the dogbones popping in and out of the cup on full steering lock (maybe full steering lock in conjunction with full shock compression or extension). The DF-02 upgrade CVD/universals work perfectly for the DF-03 and should help the problem.

proceed5, haha here's my plan. I'm busy until January so after that, maybe play at Chee Yong's track and get him to set up the buggy ramp once a week (like M-chassis but different day lah). So you can wait and get the buggy later lah. Who knows, maybe you want to get the TRF501X leh. Heheh.

Halo sim600,
Can't imagine myself buying a TRF501X at the present moment unless there's crowd for buggies class.
BTW, what ? play buggy at Tamiya Underground indoor carpet track ahh ? wahloaaaaaahhhhhhhh ... buggy for off-road play, mana buggy di indoor track ehh?

Coming soon! Just finished painting a 'flame' theme bodyshell. Now just need to add 'rivetted windshield' and 'side window frames'.

Latest addition - 3Racing Front & Rear Shock Towers! Don't have the time to prep it with CA yet.

Maybe in another week or two b4 getting it ready. Then test out (carefully!) at TU!

No need to be tempted by mine - just go and buy it! What's taking you so long?

Sounds great. My wife's away for a few days, so I'll try and get some wrenching done on the dining table before she finds out. The usual work room looks like an R/C graveyard at the moment. Will try and join you for the maiden run. The Sports Tuned is going into mine

Haha. See first lah how. I also want to play off-road but weather is 10 months rain with 2 months haze in between. Titiwangsa also, rain one time takes 3 days to dry up. I'll try and see what else can be done but no idea at the moment.

Tamiya World Championship, this past weekend in Shizuoka.

http://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/twc2006/index.htm

The buggy that won.

With the cover off. Seems chassis lightening custom mods are legal for TWC.

The top 3 finalist in Buggy King class. That 3rd guy's car is a DF-02 Gravel Hound!
