Default Tyre Inserts

Hi all!

Just wondering, has anyone tried using 'household sponge' (yeah, the one for washing dishes, pots & pans) as tyre inserts? Are they as good as the one sold in hobby shops ( & a lot cheaper too....!)?

Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Thank you, good people!!

Nope doesn't work for offroad too.

The sponge can problem one. The lowest grade of all. The foams in our tires are different. It doesn't gets tear easily. Normal house hold sponge, tear all upon acceleration.

The project once experience by a wise guy in RC, so when the tires looks like " puncik" wonder who got the loudest laugh.

haha...tear upon accel?guess the force is too strong that the sponge kenot thn 1

p/s:wonder when rc can hv tire like normal car...air instead of insert.therefore can always change the pressure to suit any track w/o having 2 use diff tire/insert set
