KOTA RAJA OPEN RACE on 12th Nov 2017
Dear Racers,
Kota Raja RC goers will be happy to know that KOTA RAJA track would be hosting the KOTA RAJA OPEN RACE. The race would be held on Nov 12th'2017. It is a fun race for all to enter and it would be a few new fun rules that would see the Malaysia race scene etching closer to the more international rules for the Blinky class while the 13.5T boosted class will continue to follow the very familiar 3000kv 2.0A rule that has been the standard since TITC 2017.
The Classes that will be available would be:
13.5T Pro-Stock Boosted Class
13.5T Blinky Class
17.5T/21.5T F1 Class
The rules and regulations are as follows:
RACE FORMAT:
Controlled practice–1 heat
Qualifying rounds –4 heats
Finals rounds –3 heats
Race duration -5 mins
**HANDOUT TIRES MUST BE USED FOR FROM CONTROLLED PRACTICE**
HEAT RULES:
Controlled practice:
Resorting for qualifying base on fastest lap
Qualifying rounds:
4 heats, point base, best 2 out of 4 if the points are a tie, the laps and times of the best score will be use to break the tie.
Final heats:
3 heats, best 2 out of 3, point base, if the points are a tie, the laps and times of thebest score will be use to break the tie.
All cars of race must go to pre-race check
1. WEIGHT –TC1350g , F1 –980g
2. BODY CHECKS – TC ONLY - Comply to IFMAR Rules
3. VOLTAGE CHECK – 8.44V
4. BLINKY CHECK for F1 & Blinky Class
All car after race must go to post-race check

13.5T 1/10 PRO-STOCKTURBO/BOOSTED TOURING CAR:
1. 4wd 1/10 IFMAR rules touring car classis
2. 13.5T turn limit brushless 540 motor ONLY(ALL BRANDS WELCOME)
3. All Motors must be 3000Kv or 2.0A Limit
4. Open esc, TURBO，TIMING
5. Race car weight with amb –1350 grams
6. 2S 7.6V lipo battery is allowed
7. IFMAR approve car body rules apply
8. MUST use controlled tires

13.5T 1/10 BLINKY TOURING CAR:
1. 4wd 1/10 IFMAR rules touring car class
2. All motors are welcome using ONLY STOCK ROTORS ARE ALLOWED. MODIFIED ROTORS ARE NOT ALLOWED!!! Motors must be submitted for approval and sealed before it can be used.
3. Controlled Approved Blinky ESC (from Orion/ORCA/Speed Passion ONLY as per MNC 2017 Rules) Additional ESCs would need to be enquired before it can be used for race.
4. Minimum Ration to be NO lower than 4.2. Any bigger number is allowed.
5. Race car weight with amb –1350 grams
6. 2S 7.6V lipo battery is allowed
7. IFMAR approve car body rules apply
8. MUST use controlled tires

5. Open ESC. BUT MUST be set to no timing mode ( blinky )
6. F1 car body must be painted with drivers head
7. F1 car must have front and rear spoilers
8. F1 car ride height to be use only in indoor tracks ONLY (3mm)
9. Voltage for 7.2V lipo battery at 8.42V
10. Tires are open but limited to 2 sets only. Stickers would be given out for tire marking. failure to have the sticker on would deem to have been disqualified.

GENERAL RULES:
1. All Racers MUST adhere to the R&R and the final decision will be determined by the race organizers.
2. Tires use for the race MUST be the tires handed out on race day ONLY. Tires will be marked with the official stickers and the numbering would be recorded by the organizer.
3. Tires must be used in accordance to the R&R. Tires allocated to you can be mixed and match as per the racer’s discretion but can only be used by the registered racer.
4. Additional set of tire(s) can be bought from the organizer at RM95 each for Touring on race day ONLY.
5. Motor Rules would be as per above and any decision made by the organizer would be the final decision.
6. Trophies will only be awarded to the top 3 drivers of each main in each class. Other drivers will be given a token of appreciation.
7. All decision(s) made by the organizer would be the final decision.
Comparison of the STOCK and MODIFIED Rotors as per below. Please check before hand to avoid disapointment during race day.

The organizer regrets to inform all registered participants that the race for this weekend would be cancelled due to the adverse weather and also the no. of participants numbers are too low to make it a successful race.
