Hmm, Stock and 19t for me probably...the obligatory TC Oval.

A Good starting point is somewhere on the track!!!!!
Hacker, whats up Doc?
Up to 3800's are basically legal, rollout is around 2.20-ish, and after I get back from Florida I still have Broome stickers to give you if you're going to paint up a new body.

Default 19t Motors

I know the onroad thread has (correctly) pointed out that only the C2 is legal for onroad...

HOWEVER -- ROAR's 19t Oval rules are essentially "ARCOR" legal, etc... But ROAR does not list anything other than the C2 19t...

What will the 19t motor rules be for for the Oval Regionals...?

I had planned to make it up for both regionals (stock and 19t 12th scale onroad, then stock and 19t oval), but now I don't know... 3 weeks ago I developed a herniated disk in my neck (between C5-C6), and the pain has been terrible -- can't race, can't even work on my "toys"... I've bought batteries, etc. and a new ESC for one Oval car, so I'm still going to try... (Cortezone injection next Tuesday may "fix" the problem, but then rehab starts...)

Tfrahm--- The 19t oval rule are even hard for me to understand if you can go to pages 42-43 in the roar rule book section 8.8 there are two pages explaining what is legal. As far as I understand any 19t motor, hemi wound included, no p-94 brushes, and Atlas motors are not legal on Oval either I believe. Hope that help is have and more questions I will do my best to get them for you.

Shane

Hope you feel better soon... neck, back problems hurt, I know..been there..

Shane -- Thanks for the update. I agree that ROAR really seems to have made it confusing, with two sets of rules, etc.

I have both C2's and ARCOR's, so I could run a C2 in onroad, but for the oval, I prefer my ARCOR Kisby D5's...

The way I read it, any 19t motor that is based off of a roar approved modified is legal. The only other rules are stand up brushes only, no p-94 brushes and up to 36 degrees of timing. Thus the rules make it so that it doesn't necessarily have to be submitted for approval as long as it is based on a modified that is already approved...I think.

The onroad rules are a lot less complicated now. It's either approved or it isn't.

Later,
Alex
