2014 Novak Offroad Race at the Plex - April 25-27
This year's Novak race takes place during a little warmer time of year, April 25-27.
We'll have a club race Thursday night, April 24th. Followed by controlled practice on Friday the 25th, 3 qualifiers on Saturday the 26th and Mains on Sunday the 27th.
The race format will be the same as last year, 3 Ifmar qualifiers with 2 bump ups. The Plexspec A-main will be 5-minutes and all other A-mains will be 8-minutes.
Classes will be Plexspec beginner, stock and mod buggy, stock and mod truck, 4wd modified, Pro-2 and Pro-4 SCT and Novak Club 17.5 SCT.
The Novak Club 17.5 SCT will be like last year's SCB class with heads up qualifying. We'll take automatic qualifiers from round 1, a second group from round 2 and then have a LCQ, with a main event to cap off the day. We'll do this both days and combine the scores to determine the overall champ. Each entry will receive a handout Novak 17.5 club system with the option to buy at a reduced price after the event is over.
As usual Bob Novak is scheduled to attend.
I'll have the official flyer and rcsignup posted soon. I just wanted to get the date out there so people can start their planning.
