I've been asked a few times about ESC's for the Stock Classes. As I posted earlier; only ESC's on the approved ROAR list for non-timing ESC's will be legal in the stock classes. In addition, your ESC must display the proper indication for that ESC's zero timing mode as indicated on the ROAR list and have the software level given on the list.

Here is a link to the current ROAR list: http://www.roarracing.com/?page_id=737

Short of testing ourselves with an oscilloscope at the track there is no other practical way to determine if an ESC really has zero timing. Since I don't plan to buy an oscilloscope, we'll use the list ROAR has developed by doing their own testing. This is the best way I know to give all the racers in the stock classes confidence that there is a level playing field when it comes to ESC's. Some may think the software revision level requirement is a bit extreme but unless someone, like ROAR, has confirmed that the actual software level in use provides zero timing there is simply no way to know for sure.

JConcepts Bar Codes - Green compound all positions. The green 4WD front (JCO3020-02) isn't readily available currently but Jason promised we'd have plenty here for the event.

Last year the invite drivers had to use the stock foam inserts with their speck tires. Will it be the same this year or will molded inserts be allowed?

While the idea of expanding foam sounds interesting, we'll stick with the white foam that is packaged with the tires. That's another equalizer for everyone in the Invitational. We had discussed this with Jason while we were setting up the invite list and decided to stick with the "stock" foam.
