I'd love to get out and do it. Just waiting on a friend of mine to finish his VTA car and I'll be back racing a bit. Another option is good IMO and if it's closer to where I live...even better. Plus, the Mini is already shedding all the pretty metal coating from playing with it on asphalt now.

That would be cool - there are several of us with electric GT cars around KC - I've got a converted Losi L8ight model that works pretty good - body roll issues are a work in progress!!!

They're big, fairly fast and fun to race.... Did I mention BIG??? Much better for an old guy like me!!!

This would be a new program. It would be privately run by myself..I have experience running a parking lot track at OP Hobbytown. I funded 90% of that myself, but had certain things out of my control. This would be different. I am very picky on asphalt, asphalt prep and layouts. While i have most of the info i need, any suggestions would help mold the program.

Big and dangerous for a parking lot that usually doesn't have a very well controlled outer boundary.

We had an E Truggy last year at our topeka on road track hit a marshal and thats the last time 1/8 scales ran on road. thats a lot of weight hitting a person even if it's only moving 15-20 mph.

Ya thats the problem with 1/8 Electric TC, you are talking about 8lbs going 40-50mph or more. They look really fun though, just if a nice permanent track was around I would be all over it.

Well Charlie... If you get something going, let me know if you wanna collaborate a few races in a series or something. Hopefully you guys decide to race on different days/times than us. Might have a little more support from Topeka racers.

Yeah, I'd run it on opposite weeks. Definitely like to do whatever to continue to help the onroad scene continue to resurge in the area. You guys have kinda kept that alive. We can get back to 50-60 onroaders again.

One problem I have seen lately is since the economy down turn nice up kept parking lots are harder to find. First you have to find a business willing to consider a group using the lot, then the lot has to be good. Good luck, I miss running the ol parking lot stuff.

So the 1/8 is out. What should I start looking for? 1/10 touring cars?

Right now VTA, GT, 17.5 sedan , 1/10 nitro sedan and F1 are popular classes in the US and plenty that run those classes in this area.
