where is the best place to pick up the tekin 8th scale motor and speedo...i want the 1900 or the 2100 or whatever the middle of the road motor is?

Got the wing kit for my VE8 today...heard there is a new chassis supposed to be coming out, kinda trying to decide if i should blow the cash on the alum chassis braces or wait on the new chassis? Anyone else heard of this?

Anyway, if someone can help me out with the best place to get that motor speedo combo.

Tower with a coupon, the RX8 system ends up being $269 shipped. The 1900kv is what most people recommend for 4S, just bought one myself.

All I've seen Zig, is a new Motor /Center Diff mount wich combines the two with one aluminum piece. This is supost to stiffen the chassis and reduce the risk of too much flex and chassis cracking.

The aluminum F/R plates are pretty much user preference. Some like the molded pieces because if they do end up in a bad enough crash to break, those pieces will go first and they're not that expensive to replace. Others like the aluminum for extra security, but then I've heard instead of those pieces breaking you stand more of a chance of cracking the main chassis

Seriously? You have the timing system and everything ready to go? Joe and I were just crying about the lack of outdoor action in the Manhattan thread.

I think the plan is to hand count at first as far as I know.... some may think this is no good, but I assure its possible and accurate, many tracks for many years have hand counted.... just put a number on your car on whichever side passes the race director and your good....

Haha, I had just kind of taken a timing system for granted for racing. But yeah, hand counting sounds fine.
