Default Outdoor off-road race track open on 04-09-2004

Do you have an itch for some off-road outdoor racing on a real big dirt track? If you live in the Kansas City area there is an off-road dirt track made for those fast nitro Monster trucks and 1/8 scale buggies.
Just visit Real R/C website by going to http://www.real-rc.com and go to view thier different facilities. Thier outdoor off-road track opening day is on 04/09/2004 and will be awesome. This track is also where they hold the International Kyosho and Mugen Seiki races during the summer (where the big sponsered drivers race). This is an awesome track and Steve, the owner, puts a lot of time and sweat into making sure the track is fun but challenging to driver and race. Racing off-road with jumps and thrills is much more fun then driving around in a parking lot.
The track is located in Pleasanthill, MO which is only about a 30 minute drive from Kansas city area (it is south east from KC). Just visit Real R/C website at http://www.real-rc.com for more information, pictures, and directions (map).

See you there!!!

There was more people there then I thought would show up as it was just a practice before the races start up. We all had a great time it seemed. I know this next Friday when the races do start, there will be a lot more people as it is always crowded on the 1st race day from out of towners. The races start at 7:00pm this next Friday, but I would plan on being there around 4:00pm if possible.

There are always at *least* a heat of electric - mostly MOD trucks *but* Steve will run 5 or more of anything as a class. This track is large but quite electric friendly - runs wet and groomed on Tuesday nights and dry on Friday nights.

Check it out at http://www.real-rc.com

Look forward to seeing you at the track!

Default Rainout 05/14/04

I'm sorry to have to report that even though the sun is out in Grandview the track will NOT have time enough to dry good enough to race on this evening.

The final night of points racing has been re scheduled to Sunday, 05/16/04 - track opens at noon - racing begins at 1:30pm!

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Welcome to the area!

Don't let not having a pit person stand in your way of racing at Pleasant Hill! Just come on down! The bunch at this track is for the most part friendly and helpful!

If you don't have any luck meeting/working/trading pit duties with anyone come and see either Steve or myself & we'll try to get you hooked up! I'm the old shaved headed feller with a Monster GT in one hand and a camera in the other! Pit trading off is one of the best ways to meet and bond with your fellow racers!

Look forward to seeing you at the track soon!

Chris is right, as even I don't have a dedicated pit guy for my two classes and I am always able to find someone to help pit. The people there are very helpful and are great people to talk too. Come on out and have some fun. Awesome people and awesome track.
