Chris,
Has Dave changed from the advertised 3 qualifiers on the flier to just 2? And if so, I take it he won't be using qual points as on the flier either?

Ooopps - my bad!!!!
I didn't read flyer! As long as there's not a gigantic turn out Im sure we can get 3 in...
As far as qualpoints it should be as the flyer states. As with any event at Timberline, it must complete by 9:00 pm per the conditional use permit!
Otherwise, I got the date & place right didn't I????

I think with only 6 official classes 3 rounds of qual should not be a problem as long as the racers help keep things on schedule. After two rounds we will evaluate time left and go for the third if time allows. And Porter/someone? can help me set up program for qual points? as we are not used to that way for our club racing here.
When I finally got home tonight,The track is in rough shape today from 7 inches of rain we have received since last Saturday. But the good news it is drying up!!
As soon as I can get Big Blue in the track with the pulverizer on...40 minutes later she will be fixed!!!..With some rolling and watering to follow.
Hope to see some old and new friends this weekend and have some fun!!!

I wanted to mention the track is alot different than years past.Less technical, many different elevation's,wider and really fast, lots of close side by side racing the little we have been able to run this year. Big bigger clutch bells LOL. *HINT*

Sorry guys, I've been slacking on my job here, been busy with real job and stuff at home.
The race schedule is completely up to the amount of drivers and how well our drivers keep up a good pace. I know Timberline has limited time to get a full day of racing in, which has been discussed with ProSeries officials. If Dave does not believe we can get three rounds plus the longer mains done in the time alloted, then it is completely his decision as to running 2 rounds (with rocket round being used for qualifying) or 3 rounds (w/ qual points).
We had to use rocket round qualifying in Topeka as there software didn't seem to have a qual point option, or at least Bill couldn't find it. As far as I was aware everybody that was in attendance did not have any issue with this type of qualifying.
The fliers are made by Dave Lovett in Texas, and he just goes by the book. I tend to cater to the tracks needs, and equipment.
I know most of Daves trophy races in the past have all been 2 quals and mains, and everybody in attendance has always had a great time. Makes the drivers be more on there toes knowing they only have 2 chances to throw down a good qualifier.
Hope to see a big crowd this weekend, weather is looking to be pretty much perfect. Low 80's and sunny, hell ya!!!
Any more questions just pop'em on here and I'll do my best to pay a little more attention to the forums the next few days.
