Glad to hear that this is going to happen! Will save me a bunch of gas driving to Carbondale. I will definitly be running 1/12 scale and maybe WGT if the class gets going. What days are you planning on running road course?

On the 1/12 scale classes, I would suggest 17.5/27t with Nimh & 13.5/lipo in the same class. 13.5/Nimh is probably going to be more like a 19t/Nimh. I'm still running brushed stuff so I can go with either one. The new 4600 Nimh are more than enough for 8 minutes with either one plus you can run them a couple times a day pretty easily.

For those looking at the tire options, I've been running Black frt and pink rears at Carbondale with good results. The Black fronts don't get gummy like purple and stay very consistent throughout the run. Purple's tend to get tacky and if the bite comes up, will build traction and make the rear feel loose. A lot will depend on how much bite the carpet gets.

Looking forward to running with everyone again!

And, for anyone looking for a starter car, I have a CRC T-force roller available for $50 in the For Sale forum.

Steve thanks for the info. I know you are a past 12 scale wheel.

What car are you currently running?

Past is the appropriate word!

Currently running an IRS t-bar car. Pretty much and Assoc. L4 design with damper tubes and the IRS front end. If I were to get something new I would probably consider trying the BMI DB12R.

Oh yeah blame it on the painter. Did you ask for a painted wing

And Chris why does the Sno Camel Racing decal look funny? Did you forget to peel the transfer tape off of it?

Steve, The BMI car does look good. The cool thing about 12 scale is it is not so much the car but the setup on the car and driver. So older cars do work well still.

Yes Kevin I did forget to peel it off before I took the picture, it was 2:30am. I noticed it at the race though!

Larry,

Its just a T2.
I cracked mine and thought i bought one off ebay.
Apparently the guy frogot to mention that it was a T1.
But his auction said T2.
who knew, still scored it for $20shipped, good for making Small CF goodies.
Let me know if you can find one,
would run 1/12th, but why when i have a TC laying around.

I want to run some more On-road,
My off-road got totally better beacuse of it.
and also larry,

i think you also forgot about you doing wheelies down the straight right before you slide it sideways.

From what I know, they are supposed to start construction sometime this week or next with the track being open sometime early March, possibly the first week.
And for the hot bodies to run now are:

1/10 TC Foam--Protoform R9F or Parma Mohawk2
1/10 TC Rubber Protoform LTC-R or Mazda Speed6
1/12 Protoform Speed12 or Speed 12b
WGT Protoform Sophia

any idea what days they will be racing on? with smac track running oval during the week, running maryville on saturdays, and collinsville every other sunday, Friday could possibly be a good night... for me anyways.

I see it being an expensive summer.
