guess i gotta get back on finding a chassis plate for my T2.
Geez, you guys just wont let carpet racing die
Looking foreward to seeing if the turnout is decent,
beacuse hensleys while fun, never really had a decent turnout.

Stormerhobbies has them for less than $12

Will the shop be able to get these?

Hmmm, i might get a 1/12th scale if there is gonna be a good turnout... Also depending on the layout, there was a switchback at hensley's that cost me a lot of money.

I've been told that the old thread had become outdated, and that this thread would be representing the new indoor carpet track in St. Louis.

So I have unstuck the other thread and I will sticky this one.

The shop can get those. But when you shop stormer you pay a min of $7 shipping that takes 5 days to get it from when you do place the order. Most likely the shop will sell them I would suspect about a buck or 2 more. Tires will be a normally stocked item so you do not have to wait 5 days or more. The nice thing about 12 scale tires is they last for a long time and you do not need 3 front or 3 rear different compounds.

We hope to have a list as soon as we can as to what tire compounds are best to start with at the track. Racers can then make changes to the compounds that best suit themselves.

We will also have Jaco tires for 12 scale. They are on white wells. I know some will want the Parma BlackHawk tires because they use a black wheel. Wheel color is important to some of us.

That will suit you just fine. Are you going to put some dirt on it?

I am ready for some on road gonna rebuild the 007 and throw some rubber tires on it. I do have 2 12th scales cars and will let them go to local racers looking to get into the class very cheap I will also throw in all of the extra parts that I have for them... one calandra bloody knife and one 12L if that isn't enough I have an entire box of 12th scale tires that I purchased from checkered flag fronts and rears all for a deal. Just get a hold of me or pm me if anyone is interested both cars have servo's and electronics if needed or wanted. Can't wait to see you at the track.

Randy, Lipo 12 scale is still new. SMC makes a 4000mah 3.7 hardcase lipo. Here is the link

http://www.smc-racing.com/lv_sum4025s.htm

A power booster is needed to run this pack. Novak makes one that works well.

17.5 4 cell and 13.5 4 cell will be classes for 12 scale. This will depend on what you racers want to race. The 17.5 will probably more popular to start with. I do believe some of the faster drivers will run 13.5.

If you run the lipo, you can run a 13.5 to be close in speed to the 17.5, 4 cell cars. If you run a 17.5 lipo you will be a little slower. This could be a great class for a beginner 12 scale. We may run the lipo cars with the 4 cell cars. We will not know this until we get on the track with the racers.

If you have any more questions Randy just ask. I am here along with others to help get this track going.

Todd has some nice stuff. You can count that his 12 scales he wants to sell are in great shape.

The shop knows used cars are part of the hobby. We do not want to discourage anyone from buying used stuff. As we know more racers mean more potential supporting parts, tires, and body sales.
