Hmmmmm, it's a sign of getting old as I can't remember the exact temp. I think it was right around 160 +/-. Before Drew handed me the 44t pinion I had been running a 38t. I'm thinking that most of the issue is the lack of boost in the esc. Now to decide on which one to get?

well. i am afraid the 7.4 lipo might not be so friendly for my reciever/servo, i have no idea how it would handle it without the voltage regulator. i ordered a 6.6v LiFE battery that shouldnt require the regualtor, but it wont be here by then. i am hoping larry comes up with the booster for me by tomorrow night.

Josh your Spektrum radio will work fin with the lipo. Your servo may not like it. Which one do you have? I know Larry has used a JR with no problem. The KO servos are fine also. I do not know about the Hitec servos.

Steve the way it sounds with the Advance Electronics unit that has come out. All the other esc manis are looking at how to get more out of the cars. Both TC and single cell. Mamba has a 1 cell version that they are making a limited run on. I hear these are very close to the AE speedo in single cell.

The Tekin of course is a good one that has potential. I have heard of a fourth coming new speedo that Drew knows a little something about I am sure these will be good also.

Novak has their new Kenetic coming out. I am not sure ho that one will stack up.

LRP has a SXX stock spec coming out. This is different from the SPX stock spec.

The Mamba Max Pro si suppose to be up to and some better than the Tekin as far as speed in TC. And this sells for like $130

Brushless has really caused a problem in on road with the speedo timing issue. So many choices and I know I would not want to be left behind with the wrong choice.

JR 3650 will handle 7.4v ok, but beware of using 7.4 with a JR 3550. It will work for a while then start acting retarded...

Note: JR doesn't claim their servos (3550 or 3650) will work with straight 7.4, so if you burn it up, it may not be covered under warranty.

All Spektrum receivers (and transmitters like DX3R) will handle 7.4 fine.

Kevin.. Hey after you said something about the MMP I started reading their website.. I didnt know Castle Creations was for anything other then bashing but their MMP seems like it would be perfectly suited for racing... This would be a good esc for 1/10th touring?
Also I saw they have a LE MMP that is suited to use 1s.. It says that it will still need a voltage booster though so wouldn't the regular one work for 1/12th?
Unno with me thinking about getting into Rubber touring/upgrading from my novak in 1/12th... if I can save the 40 or 50 bucks from buying a Tekin over this and I won't be down grading then it would be worth my while.. Just looking for some ideas... Thanks for the info...

Dang, I figured he would be coming closer to Christmas. I doubt that I can make it down this weekend. Is he bringing the 1/12 scale or TC?

What classes are you guys running this season? 17.5 or 13.5?
