Default Allen's R/C Cars March Madness (Rochester, IL)

Ok, its that time of year again... the Annual Allen's R/C March Madness on-road race. A one-day show on Saturday, March 15th on a tight but fun 36' x 60' size carpet on-road track. The track will be open from 5 - 10 on Friday March 14th for pit set-up and a few laps of practice, then practice and racing all on Saturday for just four classes:

Vintage Trans-Am
-USVTA rules except no FDR rule for brushless, and possibly a minimum weight adjustment (yet to be determined for sure)
-exact race format yet to be determined (will be posted here prior to race)

12th Scale Stock
-any ROAR approved 27 turn stock brushed motor or 17.5 Novak Brushless motor.
-6 minute heats, 8 minute main
-Minimum Weight: 794 grams
-Minimum Ride height: 3mm

Mini Cooper
-Tamiya legal Mabuchi/Johnson motors / 17.5 brushless motors allowed
-Tamiya Rules
-6 minute heats, 6 minute main
-Minimum Weight: 48oz

13.5 Rubber Touring
-13.5 Brushless
-Tires: CS27 Take-Off or RP30 pre-mounts
-5 minute heats, 5 minute main
-Minimum Weight: 6 cell 1525g, 5 cells 1450g & 4 cells 1375g
-Minimum Ride height: 5mm



Schedule

Friday
Practice/Pit set-up: 5pm - 10pm

Saturday
Practice: 8am - 1pm
Racing: 1:30 (3 heats and a main)

General Rules
-Any odorless non-wintergreen based traciton compound such as Jack the Gripper. Available in Hobby Shop if needed.

This track provides some very fun racing, especially in the newer Trans-Am class and Mini Cooper.
