I agree completely, when it's dangerously hot we have no business being outside. I was responding to the blanket statement "This year though if it's above 90 degrees we will automatically run only 2 qualifiers." I wasn't advocating doing anything dangerous, But it gets over 90 alot during the summer.
And the way that was written didn't seem like racer input was going to be a factor!

BTW, Your stickers are done!

Awesome! Thanks!

We didn't mean it as a blanket statement...just a kind of heads up. If everyone knows it's gonna be 100+ heat index, I would plan on probably not running 3...not saying we won't run 3 ...but to just be prepared and not dissapointed.

It will still be the racers choice if it's borderline..but like I said...don't count on it when its really hot.

..thinking R40 or maybe even Serpent 710 and pobably just a MT12 engine cause I don't wanna spend big bucks if not needed.I'd rather have a cool chassis than the hottest motor.

The Mustang was cool to drive but just isn't pratical since I bought this house....mustangs don't haul dirt and gravel too good you know. The new Dodge is flame red in color and I got the cheapest one....standard cab ,short bed but with Hemi power of course.

Cool...I was honestly thinkin MT12 also...since the MR is no longer in existance. Don't think we'll need any more.

the Monster truck challenge will be on August 1st. The dates are not set in stone, but most likely will stick.
We need to move this up. August 1 it will be hot. Shesh. Whats wrong with doing this in June or something like that?

The Monster challenge will have a new event this year...The 3 will be Drags, Long Jump, and obstacle course!
Cam we at least make sure we have a decent jump? That stupid smiiley face ramp was a dog, it moved too much and wasn't what I'd call a good jump my eany means. hell, by then I'll own a bicycle/skateboard ramp those are better than the smile face deal.

We will talk about those things at the meeting. If we ran the race in the 1 open Sunday in June...June 20th is Fathers day....June 6th..we would have ran 4 weeks in a row....can't do that. Personal schedule couldn't allow it..but like I said we will talk about it..we may move it to September.

The ramp is a whole other deal...smiley will stay for the regular races...but we can get something better for the challenge. The main thing comes to storage...my van is packed to the absolute hilt...no more room. If someone else wants to bring one they are welcome.

Oh.. more more request.

On oval racing day, lets get some Monster Truck Ovals. LOL.

Serious, I think people would go for that, since most of the Monster Trucks don't really "follow" the track half the time, I think a Monster Oval race would be cool. It doesn't have to be "endurance" per say, but maybe a timed event. 5 Minute Qualifiers, and a 15 minute main.

I dunno, its an idea to be tossed out cause it looks like on "endurance day" the monster trucks will have to be left home.

September is better... After last year... my "race program" is getting cut off during late July - early September, it was just too dang hot to be out there in the parking lot EVEN with an Easy up.
