nice Charlie!!!!

Any thought to doing an F1 series?

Dark,

Your way into F1, have you seen the "Speedtech" site? Any interest in all running the Tamiya in some kind of spec with teams?

I would be interested...

Kansasracer: yeah, I've glanced at Speedtech's F1 program. And before that, the program that formula1-rc.com runs.

Before we can talk teams and programs though, there has to be more than 2-3 people with cars! Most of the people who got theirs in the first batch like I did, have sold them.

I'm hoping that with Tamiya introducing newer team bodies like Williams and now Sauber, that more people will get interested. The cars handle better than standard TC's and they have infinite hop up potential. Even though their best left stock.

now you guys are talking...lol I cut my teeth on a Footwork F102 Tamiya car. In Wichita, F1 was the top class...boy those were the days! I may be needing a new father's day gift idea...keep talking...lol

Have to get Darkseid to come to the Hutchfest race the last weekend in June. Going to run on a sweet black top out in front of the off road track in Hutch. City is blocking off the street for the event. May be time to break out some stock Tamiya F1 cars...let me know how interested you guys are in running something like that...

Here is all the information that I know of on the event.

We will be running our on road race that was scheduled for June 29
on SATURDAY June 28th in Hutchinson, KS. for the Hutchfest.
The City of Hutchinson is going to close the street off in front of
R/C Superdome / T.Q.Pro Shop for one day and they wouldn't
close it on Sunday.

Anyone needing a ride please let me know and I will try and get them one.
Anyone that has a trailer we could use please let me know.
E-mail me at jackthompson@cox.net

This should to be great racing with a asphalt surface. I think it has
been newly surfaced. Nitro's should really like it.

We will be pitting inside the Superdome so no need to bring tents. There
is power, rest room and food near by.

Watch for updates as we get them.

Thanks

I have no problem with an F1 series, or at least a class to start??? You get an F201 yet Mike? I would like to see lots of them out there, they are very cool and easy to drive. One thing that Speedtech did which I think was a good idea was to run the stock Sport tuned motors with the speed gears....they are getting 10-12 min runtime and the motor is cool to the touch!! As much as I would like to run them with 19ts...I think we could get more people started with the stock motor???
