Dude don't get me started on fuel. Do some research. Dyn fuel is not crap.
I expect you to say that you sell it. Now I'm not an expert in nitro, hell, my savage is the my first nitro. BUT, I do lots of reading and talking with other drivers/racers and almost every person who's used blue thunder claims that it ran hotter than any other fuel they tried.

They switched fuel, and their engines were running cooler, etc. Now it may work, but when I get opinions from over 80% of the guys that ran it that say the same thing, well I've got to believe that.

I can LINK to several forums that mention the very same thing:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/blue..._891291/tm.htm
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Obse...1611651/tm.htm

Like I said, I'm not expert, I'm a rookie, but I read a bunch and from what I've seen I won't run it ever.

Well you never asked me! And you saw me run it plenty last year. I ran 20% BT all year last year, with no temp problems at all. My car was plenty fast, my piston and sleeve are still tight in my .12 TR, and there is no corrosion or decay from excess moisture. John also ran BT in his T-Maxx last year and his truck was by far the fastest truck out there.

So...ummmmm...whatelse do you want from the fuel? Oh, and by the way.....I don't sell it, so does that mean my opinion counts?

I find it ridiculous that anyone would form and post an opinion about a product they've never tried in a field that they have no knowledge in. But hey, thats modern day message boards!

Try the stuff before you call it crap...if you still feel its crap...more power to you. But to ADMIT that you don't know what your talking about and that your only passing on other peoples opinions doesn't lend much credit to your statement.

The only problem most people have is that it will leave a blue tint to everything inside. Whether thats bad or good who knows. I do know to stay away from HPI fuel. Its made by Wildcat but it doesn't run like Wildcat fuel.

Darkseid, FYI, I wasn't the one calling it crap.. you were:

Cool. If we have any young 20% runners out there with us, I'll see if they want it. I just don't want to waste the stuff. That crap cost too much for someone not to get to use it!
I just repeated it.

And everyone's opinion counts, I just know that at least 80% of the people I've talked to (mostly outdoor/off road racers) don't use it because of what I mentioned. Simple enough.

We sell Dyn fuel because it works fine. I will not talk up a product just to sell it and have the guy get mad and come back to ask why I sold bad a product. I'm no expert but I do get my product knowledge from the best sources possible. Superstition runs rampant in this hobby and changing fuel may require some carb adjustment but fuel is fuel is fuel. If off-road guys don't like Dyn fuel thats ok. I have what they prefer too. The last thing I want to happen is to sell inferior merchandise. Here's a tip for the 'Cajun, IF IT'S RUNNING HOT.....OPEN THE NEEDLE. But dont' take my or anyones advice. Go out and spend some time teaching yourself how the tuning thing works. Thats how all of us have done it before. Ask the ones who know...not the ones that think they know...it's just really hard to tell the difference. And by the way, I do have parts in the store that I will not sell because of quality issues and they get promptly removed from inventory lists. My tuning ability has never been a issue. Steve taught me many years back and I get phone calls from all over the country and hundreds of rookies have learned from me sooooo.....enough about me....

The fastest car rarely wins.

You mean HPI fuels are Wildcat rejects?
I've run Blue Thunder, Wildcat, Byrons, Omega, some of my own custom blended stuff, and O'Donnell. Never had any trouble with any of them. They all require a bit different tune, but the temps were all able to run about the same with no abnormal wear from any of them. One of the biggest problems with fuels is switching nitro content without changing head shims. That will drive heat up. Also, not properly sealing an engine will drive up temps as well. It just takes a microscopic air leak to make an engine run like it's lean, and you'd never know it from the needle settings. The day I run as well as Barry Baker or Ralph Burch is the day I'll start getting nit-picky about fuels. So far I haven't noticed a huge difference in performance from any of them. But, I have a hard enough time keeping consistent lap times.

I heard of a guy going to Sonic and getting some of that blue colored soda and putting it in a fuel bottle. Carried it into the old Hobby Haven in Independence. Took a big drink and the old lady SCREAMED and told him to get out! wish I'd seen it in person.

Did you know that it actually is OK to drink nitromethane? The alcohol in the fuel will kill you, but nitromethane is safe to drink. (don't try this at home, we're professionals here!)

Yes, I can acknowledge that my .12TR now has a blue 'tan' on the inside, but heck for all I know, when I get done with this Trinity fuel, my Sirio may have a pink tink!

And when I said "crap" it was used in the same place that I could used the words "stuff", "fuel", "liquid", or any other number of words. And it was also apparent to anyone who wasn't looking to start some "crap", that I was playing around when I said it. Why would I use the 'crap'...'stuff'...'fuel'...'liquid'...all year if I wasn't happy with it? And unlike you, I KNOW nitro, so I can see for myself what works. Seems to me that you've had this "80% of the people I've talked to..." stuff in your head for a while and you were just bursting out looking for a chance to use it. But maybe thats just how it looks to me...

And on another note..

If you understood how I, and other people from where I'm 'frum' talk, you would have known that the word 'crap' doesn't neccesarily serve as a negative term. Like I said, I could have used any number of words in its place and it would have ment the same thing. So, how 'bout' this right 'hur'. How 'bout' you refrain from taking quotes of mine, if you don't understand me or my people enough to take them in the right contex?

There, that should solve all this 'crap'(also read as 'stuff', 'conversation', 'delima', 'discussion', etc...)

Maybe thats why there is soo much conflict, cause we haven't raced! Cause when your out racin', there aint much room for talk. Your either winning or your losing. All the rest of the stuff is just side notes!

Default Fuel

I was looking at my fuel bottle when i noticed who it was made by. So many ppl think Duratrax isnt great stuff. But i saw by what percent the fuel is. It has duratrax right there. So O'Donnel is pretty popular so. The intellipeak is duratrax to so....

Default Copyright Laws

FYI , you can't copyright a pic unless they are using it to make money. So him using a pic is freedom of speech dude. Your web site maybe copyrighted but the content of it is not always copyrighted especialy a pic. Just for your info. As long as they are not using it to make a $$$$$ there is nothing you can do. except be a jerk about it. ???????

And beside that what is the big deal????????
