Alot of movement today at the track! Wow, I wish that I had
been able to get help in the building earlier. We would be racing on
the track right now and I would not be so sore and tired!! Pretty much
everything is out of the building now and we are about ready for the
dirt to go down. I will be out there again tomorrow if anyone would
like to come by and help.

man i hope we can pick up some clay like they had up at albion over the weekend. man, it was almost like driving on carpet it was so smooth. and your shoes would kinda stick to the track it was so sticky. and real fast!
Hi guys, I am planning on getting a car/truck and racing with you guys when I can. I have only ran onroad for the last 7-8 years. Which class is more popular truck or buggy? Also, what is a good brushless setup. I have a mamba and have noticed that the Orion motors are sensored and sensorless. Would one of them be ok or should I switch to a sensored system.
Thanks
The good news is that we finally found Jimmy Hoffa burried under all of the crap that was in this building! As it turns out, there is concrete in the building and we can now see all of it! Weather permitting, the dirt should be going in this week. Instead of fighting with the older heating units in the building, Bruce Landreth should be replacing them this week with some newer units that he has. Next weekend will be spent wrapping up everything so that the track will be ready for the first race on Saturday December 8th.
Thank you for your patience, this building prep was alot more than I had expected. I will let you know if there will be a practice night on the 7th.
-I will be at the track on most of the evenings this week.
-As of right now, brushless will only be allowed in modified unless there are enough to start a class.

hey deway, there will be a good deal of truck and buggies both. there also will be quite a few 4wd buggies as well. at albion over the weekend there were 3 full heats of just 4wd buggies. pretty much everyone uses the brushless systems in these. i myself use a mamba maxx system and it works very well. alot of guys use the gtb novak systems, some the orion. but like scott said, if you run brushless, you will be considered a modified. i am sure there will be a substantial stock class in buggy and truck both as well.
Thanks kawirider, I know it would tough to just jump into mod, but I don't want to run stock. I might not be competitive at first, but I think I would be at least good enough to stay out of the way and not hack anyone. I know you don't know how the dirt is yet, but can you recommend a good general starting point with tires. What novak or LRP brushless motor would be a good staring point in 2wd? I am leaning toward the buggy right now, but may look into 4wd.
