i guess i was at the right spot. there was like holes in the sheet metal and stuff. tried to peek in through one of the holes but was real dark. just picked up a zx5 for 100 bux! cant wait to get this thing and get it set up.
Yes, behind the transmission shop. That will be the back of the building where the track is. The entrance will be through a gated area on the other side of the building that you will enter from the left hand side of Shirley's parking lot. The back corner door in that area will open into the pit area.

I'm sorry but until the Missouri-Kansas football game is completed nobody from Kansas will be allowed on the track.lol Scott I need a road trip. Get this thing done so I can race! I wouldn't plan on opening though the same weekend as this game. Missouri 48 Kansas 35
not everybody watches football.....i have never understood how people arrange their life around watching football, hockey, baseball ect. it just has never factored into my life much....but like the sying goes, diffrent strokes for diffrent folks...
me too...cant wait to turn the zx5 loose. have you figured out what kind of dirt surface we are gonna have? hard pack, blue grooved, loamy? just so i can start planning on tire selections to have.
I am still planning on having clay, but I will not know for sure until our friends at Todd Hauling drop it off.
This weekend I took on the project that I have been dreading at the new track. I had to tear out a 40ft section of the roof, replace all of the framing, and install new sheeting on it. I also had to tear out the header and some of the framing and replace it on the opening from the pit area into the track area. I'm freakin' worn out, but I am also getting excited now. After that project, I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel!
Next Saturday and Sunday I will be getting the last of the stuff out of the building so that I can start spreading out dirt. If anyone would like to come out and help, please do. I still have alot of stuff to move, so more hands would definately help get the track ready to go sooner. If we can get enough done, I believe that I could open the track the following weekend.
I know that some guys were offering to bring out their bobcats to help if needed. I am planning on having one at the track with forks to help move the big stuff, but if you would still like to bring one to help, then feel free to do so. The lot that I will be using for parking is a mix of gravel and asphalt that needs to have all of the weeds cleared out. I would think that we could clear that out with a bobcat bucket, unless someone has a better idea.
I will let you know more as the week progresses.
Thank you for your patience!
