No F1? How's tire wear in gt and vta?

On road
We don't run the F1 class as there were only 1 or 2 last year. You could always run it in open.
The tire wear is pretty good for all classes. We put down a fair amount of sugar water for traction. The asphalt is older so the mixture helps a great deal.
We will do our best to be done at a reasonable time. The 3pm outta there this week might not happen regularly. It take about 1 hour per round and we will have at least 10 minutes between rounds. We also have about 3 minutes between races to allow drivers to get their car back to the pits, check temp, charge battery. Then 1 minute warm ups. So each race is 6 minutes plus 4 I between. Seemed to work well this first week.
We are planning to get there before 8 and begin setup. This seems to get us practicing by 9:45. Then start races by 10:15-10:30.
I will post something as early as possible when weather is questionable. As it may be this weekend. As of now. 30% chance of showers. But 70% chance of racing. :-)

Last year I got around 5 days out of a set of the USGT spec tires. VTA spec tires lasted about 3 race days for the front, and double that for the rear. If you use a spool or drive a push, the front tires will wear much faster.

I may sound like a weenie, but the temperature will be in the 40s during setup, with over 90% humidity. Yuck. And the sugar water will take quite a while to dry.

On road racing.
Reminder. Topeka on-road racing begins Sunday 4/24. Setup starts at 8. Practice about 9.45. Races about 10:15
First week is only 2 heats and 1 main. Cost is $5 for all the classes you want to run. I'm May 1st we will go to the full program. Need a smaller practice/race day to kick off the season.

sorry folks. We are at Dee and Mee and the racing area has water seeping up onto the surface. With this and the weather possible we have decided to cancel the races early to give you all time to plan something else. The next on-road race will be in 2 weeks on May 15th.

5/15/16 results Topeka On Road racing
Dee & Mee Hobbies On-Road Racing
This was an awesome day for On Road racing at Dee & Mee Hobbies. Track was very fast. Many laps in the 11 and low 12 seconds. Thanks to all that came out to race and watch. Track was ready to race by about 9:30, giving all plenty of chance to practice. Races were over and we were gone by shortly after 2pm, running 3 heats and 1 main. We were all packed up and leaving before 3pm. Appreciate those that step up and help.

That USGT race was fun to watch and drive! No matter what I tried, I just couldn't find that 1/10 of a second more.

Racing results 5-22-16
Had another great day. Practice started at 9:30, races about 10:30. Day was completed a little after 2, with plenty of time between races. Howard did a great job designing the layout for this week. Next week Jim has volunterred. Track did have some seapage from all the rain, but the drivers figured it out and got faster by the mains.
Note: with the lower than anticipated turnout, we are struggling for marshals. Since we are already short on marshals, I am opening up the entries to run as many classes as you want. My original plan was to help with marshals, but that has not seemed to work. so, If you want to run all 5 classes, no problem. Signup for as many as you'd like. Hoping this will help resurect NasTruck class.
Results are attached, and here is the remaining schedule for this year:
