They tried to do the Nostalgia 2.8 but couldn't as a result of a few too many breakages.
It was a fun day glad it didn't get to serious. Next race we should do a bracket race with everyone. What does everyone else think

Without going into much history, the hope is that this will occur more frequently/consistently for both class and bracket racing. We used to run twice per month (test-n-tune and race days). I will (have been meaning to) discuss with the others to see where their direction/availability is going for HRCDR.

Cool as long as it stays fun don't like the disgrace I was seeing from the other group that's no class

You need to run as close to 2.8 seconds without going quicker. Going quicker is considered "breaking out" and is an automatic loss unless your opponent runs quicker than you or red-lights or crosses the center line. Sort of like a bracket class but your dial-in is set at 2.80 seconds.

Got it. Does the paint need to be period correct? Driver figure? Tires? VTA car?

No just the year of the body. 2 cars went 2.84 this last outing. Should be a challenging class. You could be a roadster body on your traxxas fc and run 2 classes with the same car. You'll have to charge your battery (hahaha).

Default HAWAII SUMMER NATIONALS (October 11th) - Sponsored by RC Drag Tech Hawaii

Great day of racing with the weather being great. Ran all the classes except FC (1 entry) with as many as 10 racers in Bracket. Exciting races and many personal best runs by a few racers highlighted by Cal's 1.367 (I think) TF run with one of his runs hittng 102mph! That's on sugar water!

Race results coming soon...

Are we going to start a nostalgia class with a 2.8 index?

Thanks for coming out. It was fun and some really close racing. Trying to plan another race but our personal schedules make it a little hard at this time. If we figure something out I'll post.

That's a class HRCDR (3rd Sunday) is starting up. Last outing there were 3 cars testing. Should be pretty competitive (John ran a couple of 2.84's).
