This post is for the local guys that missed this race, you will never know how really fast Hot Shots really got at the GIC, I can't stress enough what a great race this was, there were no problems, Lance McDonald did a great job keeping the race moving, the JConcepts guys did a great job breaking track records one after another the track kept getting faster and faster.
It seems like a great dream I had attending this race, thanks Brad, Mark Moon and everyone that worked to get this race here and making it a great success!
Dustin Loden and Mark Moon our own local racers that ran toe to toe with the big boys from out of town.
I'm very proud to run at Hot Shots with you guys and hope to do so for a long time!

I got to tell you I was very worried the track would get blowed out during this race, but it held up as near perfect as possible.
I'm going to do some estimated math to see how many miles of tire went over the track that day, I'm no mathimation so Dusty Loden, help me out if you see a mistake.
This is and estimate in laps and number of tires and feet traveled:
4 tires per car X 8 cars per heat= 32 tires, 32 tires X (1 lap) 343 feet of track=10,976 feet per lap X 20 laps=219,520 feet per qualifer, 22 qualifers x 219,520=4,829,440 feet per round times 4 rounds (including mains),4 X 4,829,440=19,317,760 feet. 19,317,760 feet divided by (1 mile ) 5280 feet=
3658.66667 miles just in the race not including the practice that morning or day before or Thursday night race.
WOW 3658 miles of tires ran on the track in the GIC, I THINK some of you math guru's look at this an post what you found.

Yep, really....I mean REALLY....hate that I missed this race. But, the boys had sports events going on that day so had to give up the race. Looking to put a couple miles on the track tomorrow night! Glad the event went off without a hitch, knew it would. Glad to have such a great place to race...just wish it was about 30 minutes closer!
