LoL if they can beat consistent 9.1-9.5 second laps with a mod then I'll swap it out otherwise ill woop some @$$ with my 13.5
In the past anytime these guys come in and run boosted mod they are all over the place and not as fast as stock 13.5... It's not like there is a straightaway...

The onroad track will be vacuumed and Traction Action used so that we have a nice, clean surface to race on this Saturday.

I ran last evening for Wednesday Onroad racing (01-22-14). The track / carpet condition was fine to race on. The track was vacuumed but no traction additive was applied to the surface. Lead race pace was 34 laps and fastest lap turned was a 10.0. I was personally on a 35 lap pace in the second round of qualifiers before I brushed a pipe ruining that pace. To my knowledge the overall times are an improvement then the previous Wednesday evening's race where traction additive was used.
My chassis was coming off the track relatively clean. I was cleaning off more little bits of rubber and carpet fiber then I was actual dirt. I was running Sweep 32 tyres which where coming off clean with minimal amount of build up and normal wear.
Indeed there are two areas of the track, way off the proper racing line mind you, that are now stained. These areas have always been used over the past two years that I have been racing at HotShots as 'Burn Out' areas regardless of the track configuration. In my opinion these two areas will have little or no effect on ones racing enjoyment.
My agenda with this post is to simply inform any of the Onroad racers who were perhaps debating if they would like to come and race at the second annual Race-olution Onroad race. Set aside your concerns of the track conditions and come out and race!
If you can make it out and don't have a good time racing... Then your are welcome to call me any long hair hippy name under then sun at HotShots after the race and I will accept it with a nodding smile. But at least I got you to the track.
