I wonder what part of the "Spirit" of SCT racing they are trying to hold on to, b/c they are not to scale, have not scene a single tire that looks like a full size SCT that will work well on a r/c SCT. I dropped out of SCT racing b/c I was tired of driving what I felt was a Box Truck that everyone wants to hit As time progresses the class will refine it self and seperate into a stock class and Mod class of SCT which might bring me out of SCT hibernation. SCT with slower than a 10.5 has no appeal to me.

I understand what your sayin' but I can't dog the class because one... the class or should I say "slash" put the spotlight back on electric racing and two...its still pretty fun (even with a 17.5)

So will the slicers give you more steering on loose dirt track conditions in the front of the car?More steering than a gladiator in the front?

"Ribbed front tires are not permitted in ROAR Short Course competition

ROAR has amended the tire rules in the Short Course category to specifically exclude the use of ribbed front tires. Use of ribbed front tires is inconsistent with a category that has achieved most of its popularity on the basis of scale appearance. Therefore, ROAR has decided not to allow use of this type of tire on this basis."
Stick with the ROAR rules in a stock or spec class. when you start making your own regulations regarding something like tires (and other things) you get into a situation where you need too much to go from one track to another. if the rule set is uniform it allows racers to visit other tracks and be inside the rule set. If you really want these tires run an open class. that's why open exists so you can run exactly what you want or in my case what my wallet would allow.
