And theoretically, if EVERYTHING you say is sarcastic, then even when you say you aren't being sarcastic, you're being sarcastic

Yes, the only thing holding it back would be tires. I think the hex is the same as most newer cars. If so that would help a lot. It's worth a look. Snoopy has one as does a guy in Trenton,Ga. they ran the whole vintage series with no problems, Optima's are tough cars.

Just like motorcycles the new stuff is much better than the old. But they Ain't bad. And just like the bikes the old rc's have more character about them. I am prepping a cat 2000 right now to take to TT when I get a day off. And when the special race happens when monkey comes home I'm bringing the old Yokomo out of retirement for that. I hope I can get done Sunday to at least go and see the track and the gang.

Optimas are better shelf queens than anything else they can do these days. I would not run one unless you like entering the one to two vintage races each year. However if you want to get rid of it, I might be interested. Mine thinks that it is the last one left. It would be happy to see another.

Hey! Gary's brother from guns of yesteryear still has both of his I think. Those and a few more cars should be sitting in his garage. I think he had two Optima mid's with all the trimmings and a super tricked out Falcon. Could be worth a look.
